Die-Cut Flower Birthday

Here is another die I hadn't used for a long time - the flower panel. I matted it with a patterned paper. The sentiment is from Gina K. I stamped it on the same patterned paper and matted it with the same shimmery cardstock. The sentiment is popped up. I think it should have been a little bit higher, but it was too late to remove it - it was stuck fast and I didn't want to risk ripping the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

  1. The red paper adds some fun drama to your card. I think your sentiment placement is fine, but you could add some red dots or other embellishment in top right corner if you were trying to balance the colored pieces on the card front. I couldn't count the number of times I've glued something down and then thought, "Oh, no, I should have put that in a different position."

  2. I love how you used red behind the cute flower panel! It is an underused color, I think, other than at Christmas. I always have a few cards set aside for re-do because of one thing or another. Un Du works nicely and doesn't ruin the card.
