When I came across this folder recently, I was thinking about doing this card. I finally got it done. I used the folder (from Darice) on white-core, blue textured cardstock. After embossing it, I used a sanding block to sand off the color from the embossing. Then I left the daisies white and colored the flower centers and leaves and stems with markers. The sentiment is from Gina K and is white embossed. The blue panel covers the whole card front.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

I love this folder and have never thought to do this with it. It turned out amazing! Sanding is one of my favorite techniques. Now you've inspired me again!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea! I've done a bit of sanding on embossed patterns before, but never colored parts of them. I'm going to have to give this a try.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Sanding on cored card stock is always a fun technique. You did a great job!
