This is the Halloween card I made for our granddaughter. Three of the boys got cards that were already made and in my "stash!" (My stash is much diminished now, as I picked out 65 cards to donate to our church to sell at the annual Lutefisk Dinner and also to have in the Library for sale.)
The main image is from a Recollections set and I colored her with Copic markers and added black Stickles to the pumpkin's face. I matted with a velvety black cut with a Nestability. The patterned paper is from Recollections, also. The sentiment is from an old Studio G dollar set.
This is the other card I had to make this week. It's for the grandson that I take care of every day. The patterned paper - with the spider on it - is from Recollections. I added black Stickles to the spider. The ghosts are a stamp from Recollections. I stamped them, cut them out, mounted them on foam squares, and added Star Dust Stickles to them. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.
Happy Halloween to all! (I'm not really fond of Halloween, myself!)
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
A place for me to share the cards I create, and maybe a few other things, too!

Flutter By Wednesday - Any Creature With Wings
This week's Flutter By Wednesday challenge is the ever-popular - any creature with wings! Simply create your card using a fairy, butterfly, or any other creature with wings, and link it up to the Flutter By Wednesday blog. If we reach fifty or more entries, there will be a prize!
It's a little hard to see in the picture, but the butterfly is a dark purple with a black lacy overlay. They were cut with a Memory Box die. The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! set. I used the sketch from this week's CAS on Sunday challenge.

Fall Anniversary
Our son and daughter-in-law's anniversary was yesterday. This is the card I made for them. What a special present to have Wyatt home with them!
The flower and leaf stamp are from a Papertrey Ink set. The sentiment is from Verve. I used Stampin' Up! inks and matted with Close to Cocoa cardstock. I used foam squares to mount the main panel. The card base and main panel are ivory.

Welcome, Jackson! (And, Wyatt's Home!)
A friend in my stamping group recently became a grandma again, and this is the card I made for her.
The stamps are both from an Inkadinkado set. I paper pieced the bear and his jammies. The papers are all from a Die Cuts With a View matstack. I did a little bit of coloring of his ears, nose and button. Congrats, Joyce!
I am submitting this to the Repeat Impressions challenge to use paper piecing. You can find that challenge here.
On a personal note: Our grandson, Wyatt, came home from the hospital yesterday! He is up to almost seven pounds. Now, if only he will continue eating well and getting stronger! Thanks for your prayers, and for your continued prayers, too.

Christmas Sunday
Finally - another Christmas card! Life has just been too busy lately. Good thing I got an early start! I'm linking this up to the Christmas Card Challenge blog.
All of the cardstock that I used is from a stack by Recollections. I stamped and cut the ornaments with a Sizzix set exclusive to Archiver's. The matting is Riding Hood Red from Stampin' Up! The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Baby Congrats - Boy and Girl
Two baby cards for today - one for a boy and one for a girl, but otherwise identical. The stamps are from Recollections. The square punches are from EK Success and Martha Stewart. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and it is punched out with a Stampin' Up! punch.
Wyatt gained a LITTLE weight after having his feeding tube removed. That was great! It's quite possible he will get to go home soon! I'll keep you posted. Thanks again for your prayers.

Flutter By Wednesday - Remake!
This week's Flutter By Wednesday challenge is to use any color except orange and black. I had missed the "no black" part. Ooops. So, I made another card just like yesterday's, except that it fits the challenge.
The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts. I inked it up with gray ink and then colored the words "happy" and "birthday" with a pink marker. I matted with gray cardstock. The butterfly was punched with a Marvy punch. I really love yesterday's butterfly, but it's a Memory Box die that I had borrowed from someone, so I couldn't do one like that for today's card. I colored the antennae gray and added two gray gemstones to the body. Now I feel better:)

Flutter By Wednesday - Color Challenge
Time for a new Flutter By Wednesday challenge. Today's challenge is a pretty easy one - just make your card using a butterfly or fairy and use any colors you want except orange or black! Upload your card to your blog or on-line gallery and link it up to the Flutter By Wednesday blog. As always, if there are one hundred or more entries, there will be a prize awarded. We'd love to have you join us. You will find some amazing inspiration on the blog, too.
I had hardly set foot in my stamping room the last three weeks or so. We've been at the hospital with Wyatt, having Owen a little extra, been out of town ... the list goes on. At any rate, I took just a few minutes last night and made this card. I sat in my room for a little bit in the afternoon and planned the card, then made it in the evening (after coming home from bowling.) The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts. I inked it up with Going Gray ink from Stamping Up! and used a pink marker to highlight the "happy" and "birthday." The butterfly is one I die-cut in Des Moines in June at our Group Gathering. It was cut with a Memory Box die, I believe. I added a couple pink gems to the body. And you will note - I messed up!!! I had written down on my calendar that the challenge was to use any colors except orange and had missed the part about no black. Oops! Sorry, Danni!
Update on Wyatt: He seems to be steadily improving now. Whew! He is taking his bottles better and is gaining weight daily. He MAY be able to go home next week! That would be so awesome. It's been three weeks now since he was admitted. Poor little thing! Thanks to you all for your prayers.

Flutter By Wednesday - a Sketch
Wednesday again - time for a new challenge from Flutter By Wednesday. This week's challenge is a sketch by Design Team Member, Kathy. We'd love to see what you can create using this sketch - and a butterfly or fairy, of course! Simply link your creation to the Flutter By Wednesday blog. As always, if we reach 100 submissions, there will be a prize.
Sorry to say that I just have not had time to spend in my stamping room lately. So, no card from me today:(
Our infant grandson, Wyatt, is still in the hospital. He's been there for two weeks now. He totally has them baffled as to what's wrong with him. He has to have three good days in a row before they will let him go home, and so far, he hasn't had one. All prayers for him would be greatly appreciated! We thank you for the many, many prayers we have received so far. He was born on September 19, nearly three weeks early.

Birthday Flowers and an Update on Wyatt
I thought I was out of posts, but found this one as a "Draft." I haven't been in my stamping room for about a week and a half. Maybe again some time soon:)
I cut the vase for this card on my Cameo Silhouette. I stamped it with a swirly stamp from an Inkadinkado set. I sponged some distress ink around the edges to give it more dimension. I also used foam squares on the top of the vase. The flower stamp is from a Gina K set and is colored with Copics. The sentiment is from the same set as the flowers.
An update on our grandson, Wyatt. Tuesday was not a great day, but Wednesday was better and Thursday was the best day in a while. He had a biopsy to determine if he had a specific disease of the colon, but that came back negative. Also, he has been able to stay awake longer and he's eating more from the bottle. All good news! He will still be in the hospital for a while, but he is continuing to show improvement. Thank you very much to those of you who are praying for him. We all appreciate that!
And if you're still with me - I was asked what stamp I used yesterday. It was called Garden Bouquet and is from Hero Arts. (Thanks, Joanne! :) )

Smile
Our former next-door neighbor - who I babysat for for five years! - is now in college. Unbelievable! I made this card for her and included a small gift card from a coffee shop. I stamped the image with a Kaleidacolor pad at our Group Gathering in June. The "smile" stamp is from The Paper Company. I added a sticker gem for the dot on the "i."

Flutter By Wednesday - a Recipe
Time for a new Flutter By Wednesday challenge. Thanks to all of you who participated in last week's challenge! The challenge this week is a recipe: use three patterned papers, three embellishments, and sparkle. Along with your butterfly or fairy, of course! Upload your creation to your blog or an on-line gallery and link it up to the Flutter By Wednesday blog. Danni is looking for a few more members of the Design Team, too. Please check out this blog post for information on applying to her fun team!
I certainly did find this challenging! I mean, really - I have a hard time using ONE patterned paper. LOL! I was satisfied with my submission, though. I think it even ended up Clean and Simple:) Almost the hardest part was the three embellishments. My papers are all from a matstack that I bought at Michael's last week, but I don't remember who made it! (It was 12 x 12 and I cut it up into 6 x 6 pieces and I guess I threw away the cover sheet.) The butterfly stamp is from Recollections and I colored it very plainly with Copics. I added Star Dust Stickles to the wings. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. My three embellishments are the two gems on the antennae and the gem between the Happy and Birthday.

Same Stamp - Different Cards
This stamped image was in my "to-do" pile. I added "gem" stickers to the flower centers and butterflies. The sentiment is from TPC Studios and the butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
This is the same image done in a different color. The sentiment was cut with a Cuttlebug die. I added a tiny pearl for the dot on the "i."
I've had the last few posts pre-scheduled. I haven't been in my stamping room for the last week or so. Our little grandson, Wyatt, who was born three weeks early on the 19th of September, has been in the hospital since last Wednesday. They haven't been able to figure out what's wrong with him yet. He just mostly sleeps - is too tired to eat or anything. And his poop is just basically water. They've done several test and nothing has shown up. They think he has a virus, but is just not kicking it. They have another test to try today. They're not giving him bottles any more - instead he's getting a drip feed through a feeding tube in his nose. If anyone would like to pray for him, we would sure appreciate it. Thanks so much!

Digital Tuesday Birthday
Another image from Digital Two For Tuesday. (If you like digital images, you really should check them out!) This one can be found here.
I colored the flowers, leaves and vase with Copics and realized I didn't quite know how I was going to color the rest of the image! So, I simply colored the rest of it with a very light color. I like the way it turned out. I matted with black and mounted on foam squares. The border along the left side was cut with a Memory Box die. The sentiment is from TPC Studio.

Daisy Thanks
A simple "thanks" card. The image is from Digital Two for Tuesday and can be found here. I colored it with Copics, cut and embossed with an oval Nestability, matted with a scalloped oval. The "thanks" was cut with a Memory Box die.

Welcome, Wyatt!
The card does include his last name - I just made it "disappear" for the blog picture. I cut his name and the date with my Cameo Silhouette. The patterned paper, the boat, and the strip across the lower part are all from a pad from Deja Views. The top part of the boat is mounted on foam squares.

Thanks a "latte!"
I am the most productive in my stamping room when I'm using up card parts. Just having something to start with is such a great help!
These coffee cups were already stamped (on vellum) and colored. I cut around them and mounted them on foam squares. The yellow scalloped oval was in my pile, too. I cut the white oval with a Nestability and added the hand-doodles. The sentiment was printed on my computer.

Flutter By Wednesday #255
This week's Flutter By Wednesday's challenge is open - whatever you'd like to make, as long as you include a butterfly or a fairy! There is an optional challenge this week: to use something that is your favorite. Please create your card and link it up to the Flutter By Wednesday blog. Remember, if there are at least 100 entries, there will be a prize! Also, Danni is looking for more Design Team members! If you are interested, please check out her post here.
For my card, I used another digital image from Digital Two for Tuesdays. (You can find this image here.) A lot of you know how much I love stamped flowers, with my favorite being daisies:) I colored my image with Copics, added Star Dust Stickles to the wings, matted with black and mounted on foam squares. The patterned paper background is from Die Cuts With a View. The sentiment, stamped in black, is from a Papertrey set.

October Calendar Page
There went another month! So, here is October's calendar page.
I "recycled" the background - it's actually the wrap from flowers I got a couple years ago. I was happy to finally use it. The cat/pumpkin stamp and the sentiment stamp are from Repeat Impressions. I stamped them and cut them out after coloring with Copic markers.
