The second card with the Stampin' Up! set called "Heavenly Days." The little flower in the pot is from the set. I stamped it with Memento black ink, colored it with Copics and die-cut it with a Memory Box die. I added Star Dust Stickles to the flower. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. It's mounted on a foam square. The patterned paper is from a Die Cuts With a View matstack. I used the same die set to cut the patterned paper and bottom layer. I mounted that layer on Pop Dots.

Heavenly Days #1
I didn't think I'd have a card to share this weekend, but here is one:) I took a little time yesterday afternoon to get this one made.
This is the first card using my Stampin' Up! set called "Heavenly Days." The angel, the present, and the sentiment are from the set. Inside is another stamp from the set, the words, "Each new day is a gift - that's why it's called the present!" I colored with Prismacolor pencils and used some Gamsol. I cut out the present (even the loops on the bow!) and mounted it on a Pop Dot. I used Star Dust glitter on the wings.

Happy Fourth Birthday, Jonah!
Tuesday is the fourth birthday of one of our grandsons. He (for some reason!) likes the Trix bunny:) So, this is the card that I made for him.
I found the picture on-line. I printed it, along with the sentiment, on white cardstock. I printed it again on white cardstock and cut it out. I trimmed down the image with sentiment, and even cut off part of the bunny's left hand. I matted with blue cardstock. I added the cut-out bunny on top, gluing down his left foot and hand, and putting foam squares under his right foot and hand, head, and ears. The inside says, "have a very happy fourth birthday!)

Sticker Anniversary
Another thing I have out on my stamping table is stickers. And I've had this tri-fold, aperture card out for quite a while, too. Today's card combines them both. The circular sticker and the butterflies are from Penny Black. I mounted the butterflies on cardstock and cut them out, for more substance. I mounted them on Pop Dot pieces. The sentiment is an old wood-mounted stamp from My Sentiments Exactly. After stamping it, I embossed it with a not-yet-used embossing folder from Cuttlebug. I matted it with blue and mounted on Pop Dots.

Blue Thank You
One more card using my Hero Arts multi-step flower set - this time in blues. It's the smaller flower that I used for yesterday's card. I matted with black, and added a bit of greenery using a Spellbinders die. The sentiment was done using one of my new dies that I got through Amazon. The background cardstock is from an old Die Cuts With a View matstack and I matted it with a thinner black border.

Another Hello Card
In the Hero Arts set that I've used for my last two cards, there are two four-step flowers. Here is the second one. For today's card, I went with yellows and oranges/rust. After stamping it, I carefully cut it out and mounted it on Pop Dots. The greenery was cut with a new Spellbinders set of dies that I got at Michael's with a 60% off coupon and a gift card. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. The card is done with ivory cardstock.

Pansy Hello
Well, I had a great streak of almost two months without missing a day of blogging:) That streak came to an end yesterday. But, I did finish up a card today and thought I would post it.
I was using the same set of stamps as Friday's card - from Hero Arts. The flowers are made up using four stamps, and today I went with yellow and purples. I stamped and masked. The leaves are also two-step stamped. I die cut the sentiment using a die that just arrived in Friday's mail. I cut it once out of black and twice out of a thick cereal box and then stacked them - for dimension. I matted with matching cardstock.

Multi-Step Stamping
When Michael's had their buy-one-get-one-free sale last week (or the week before?), I bought a couple Hero Arts sets. One of them is Christmas sentiments. The other is this multi-step stamping set. I stamped the flower with four stamps using various shades of pink/red. The leaves are two-step stamped in greens. Using a craft knife, I cut carefully around the edge of the flower in the two spots where I wanted the leaves, and then slipped them in. The sentiment was one stamp from Papertrey Ink that I cut into two pieces for stamping this card. I matted with a dark pink and mounted on Pop Dots.

Fun With Shapes #3 and #4
Here are my third and fourth cards using the Stampin' Up! set called "Fun With Shapes."
For this first card, I used the row of triangles, the star and the small rectangle. I used Star Dust Stickles on the stars and red glitter glue for the dots on the trees. I matted with green and embossed the edges with a Cuttlebug border folder. The image panel is mounted on Pop Dots. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.
The fourth card. (I still have the little "hello" to use on another card.) I used the row of solid circles, the row of outline circles and the ornament hanger. I used silver embossing powder for the outline circles and the ornament hanger. I stamped the snowflakes on the ornaments with green ink using a My Favorite Things stamp. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things, also, and is embossed with silver. The image panel is matted with shimmery silver paper.
And no ... no one "made" me use these stamps! :)
Also, I had a question on this card, with no way to reply to the asker. (However, thanks for your name!) That die, which you can see here, does not cut on the left side. Therefore you can make it any width you'd like. I have done cards like this one where the butterflies are way to the right, and other cards where I cut it narrow and the butterflies are much closer to the left side. Hope that helps! If not, please email me. My address is in the "View my complete profile" under my picture. There is a link to click on to email me.

Fun With Shapes #1 and #2
OK, OK ... I used the set that I said I wasn't going to! :) These two cards, and the two cards I will share tomorrow, are made using the Stampin' Up! set called "Fun With Shapes." The set consists of thirteen stamps: four three-in-a-row solid stamps (circles, triangles, squares and rectangles), two outline stamps (circles and squares), six small images (a star, a bow, a rectangle, an ornament hanger, a flower and a candle flame) and a small stamp that says, "hello." I will use the little "hello" on a later card.
For this first card, I used the row of rectangles and the flame. I added Star Dust Stickles to the flames. I matted with matching blue cardstock and mounted on Pop Dots. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is stamped with the same color blue ink.

Holiday Minis #1 - 7
Here are the seven cards I made using the next Stampin' Up! set in my mission to use them all. This one is called "Holiday Minis." I just don't have much imagination to use them, so they are all basically the same. The set consists of seven image stamps and one sentiment. For this first one, I used the reindeer and the sentiment. I embossed them with detail gold embossing powder and matted with shimmery gold paper. I embossed the background with a Sizzix folder. The image and sentiment are mounted on Pop Dots.
For the rest of these, I colored the images with Copic markers, added some sparkle with a Wink of Stella pen, matted with green and mounted on Pop Dots. The sentiment for these last six card is from Lawn Fawn.
The good news is that I have seven more Christmas cards done!
I have decided to skip the next set of stamps. I just can't do anything at all different with them:( (It's called Fun With Shapes.) I stamped the images and was at least going to share that with you, but changed my mind.

Tiny Birthday Flowers
A card using scraps - not even "card parts!" The white rectangle and the little black squares were left over from die-cuts and were sitting on my table. I told myself I either had to use them or throw them away, so here they are. To each black square, I added a small flower from The Paper Studio. The sentiment is from Stampabilities. I added some Washi tape underneath. It matches better "in real life." I did my matting with black.

Sympathy Rub-Ons
More cards that I wasn't going to share:) However, besides sharing ideas, this blog is also a record of the cards I have made. So, here you go - a couple cards that are very similar to others I have previously posted. Both cards are made with ivory cardstock.
I found these rub-on sentiments from My Sentiments Exactly in my sticker drawers. They also came with verses for the insides. I used the sentiments and verses and finished up another package! I'm not even sure where they came from, but I suspect they came in one of three boxes of "stuff" that my son brought me from a co-worker many years ago. (They sure were fun to go through!) The sentiments are mounted on Pop Dots.
The patterned paper for both cards is from a matstack by Recollections.

Welcome Little One
Yippee - I finished a pack of stickers! :) The giraffe and three leaves were what was left in a package of Sandylion stickers. My cardbase and layer are ivory. The sentiment is from on old Studio G dollar set.

Pink Anniversary
I embossed the background for this card originally for the stamped border from three days ago. That didn't work at all - the styles were much too different! So, I made this card with it, instead. Both of the embossing folders I used are by Cuttlebug. Kind of hard to see, but I embossed a double line between them with my Scor-Pal. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is matted and mounted on Pop Dots. The flower is from Martha Stewart.

Hearts and Posies #4
My last card using the Stampin' Up! called "Hearts and Posies." Today's card features the rose with leaves. I colored the stamp with markers before stamping. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. The patterned paper is from a Recollections matstack. I matted both layers with black. The sentiment is mounted on Pop Dots.

Hearts and Posies #3
My third card using the "Hearts and Posies" stamp set from Stampin' Up! Today's stamp is the heart. I stamped it three times and put a piece of matching cardstock under it and mounted on Pop Dots. (I love finding scraps that work. Makes me remember to partially mat something.) The sentiment is from Stampabilities. The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. (It's called Matelasse. I figured someone will ask me!) I matted with the same color cardstock.

Hearts and Posies #2
The second card with my "Hearts and Posies" stamp set from Stampin' Up! The stamp I used today is the border stamp. I inked it up using markers and stamped it twice. Well, once and three fourths:) I matted with orange and added orange gems to the turquoise flowers and a purple gem to the orange flower. I mounted on Pop Dots. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Hearts and Posies #1
Finally - a new Stampin' Up! set to get started on. (Continuing on my quest to use all of my SU! sets.) This one is called "Hearts and Posies." It consists of six stamps - this large, open heart, a smaller solid (with pattern) heart, a small rose with leaves stamp, a border stamp, a "Forever Friends" stamp with rose, and a "To/From" stamp. I'm pretty sure I won't be using the To/From stamp, and possibly not the other sentiment, either, but I will use the other four stamps.
I stamped the large heart with two different colors of ink and cut them out. I cut a slit through one so that I could intertwine them. Then I mounted them on Pop Dots. The patterned paper is from an ancient matstack from Sizzix. I matted it to match the darker heart. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Die-Cut Sympathy
The last card - for now - using my new dies. I used the die on black cardstock and matted with a plum. I mounted it on Pop Dots. The background paper is from a Recollections matstack that I really love, and is matted with black.

Monkey Birthday
I had this cute little monkey sticker on my desk. He's from Sandylion - and is many years old! :) I stamped the background with a Tattered Angels stamp. The balloon was made with one of my new dies. (This balloon is the biggest one the seven!) The string was die-cut from the same set. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Die Cut with Flowers
Another new die. (I bought them from Amazon, and they were a great deal!) The die cuts the oval and the greenery.) I matted with deep purple (Rich Razzleberry from Stampin' Up! - probably retired) and then again with matching olive. The flowers are stickers from Martha Stewart that I've had for several years.

Die-Cut Thanks
You're going to be seeing several of my new dies in action over the coming days:) This one is the "Thank You." I cut it out of coral, then found this patterned paper to match it. (I got the paper at Michael's a couple years ago. I cut the 12 x 12 sheets into fourths right away and threw away the packaging, so I can't tell you who it's by.) I matted the entire piece with the dark yellow cardstock to match the paper.

Lion Birthday
Another of my new dies - postage stamp-edged die with "stitches." I cut it out of black. And I used up more stickers and more "card parts." The lion sticker, along with the leaves, are from a set of stickers by Sandylion. The plain white circle and the scalloped circle made their way out of my card parts box a couple weeks ago. I sponged brown ink on the plain one and yellow ink on the scalloped one. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is embossed with detail gold embossing powder.

Hoppy Day!
I recently purchased several dies/die sets through Amazon. I actually sat down and used every one of them! Now I have to put them on cards:)
The first one I'm using is this frame with "stitching" around it. I must admit that it's smaller than I thought it would be, having not checked out the measurements before I ordered it! I do like the size, though. It came with nine other dies - seven balloons, a straight balloon string, and a curvy balloon string. Some of them are REALLY tiny! They might be fun to work with, though, and I think you'll be seeing one soon. I had the green piece sitting on my table, after cutting something out of the middle of it with another new die. It fit perfectly under this white piece that I had cut. So then I had to figure out something to put in the opening. Going through my stickers, I found these frogs. Perfect! And what sentiment would go with them? How about this one from Papertrey Ink. I mounted the white panel on Pop Dots.
Another of the die sets is the one that cuts these shaped. "stitched" pieces. I used one in white and one in black. Used the last of my frogs and also added the same sentiment from PTI. The patterned paper is from Bo Bunny.
