Another Day One Card from Online Card Class
Here is another card I made from the Online Card Class - Crushing on Cardstock. The stripes are each one-half inch wide and the space between them is one-fourth inch. The stripes are mounted on foam squares. The strips were all made from card scraps. The sentiment was cut three times from white cardstock and glued together for added dimension. The die is from Altenew. I matted the image panel on the same color cardstock as one of the stripes.

Online Card Class - Day Two
An idea from the current Online Card Class. I used an Altenew die for the background die-cut and to cut through the die-cut flowers. I matted the flowers and the background piece, and I popped the flowers up on foam squares. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Online Card Class - Day One #3
Here is another card I made for the Online Card Class I'm taking. I ended up liking it more than I thought I would. I cut the hearts and then tore the left-side edges. I inked up along the torn edges. I embossed the top and bottom layers with one of my original Cuttlebug folders and my former favorite - Dotted Swiss. The hearts were cut with Lifestyle Crafts Dies. The heart is popped up on foam squares. The sentiment is stamped in black and is from My Favorite Things. The card base is top-folding.

Online Card Class - Crushing on Cardstock
I'm taking the current Online Card Class, but I'm a bit behind. Luckily, it's just "do it at your own pace." These cards are based on Day One's class - using strips of cardstock. I'm pretty sure the point of the class is to use plain cardstock, but I couldn't resist using up some scraps of patterned paper for the second card. Die-cut words completed each card.

Christmas Reindeer
A few weeks ago, a friend was over and I was showing her how dies work. I had cut out this cute reindeer and his scarf. It's been sitting in a clear sleeve on my desk since then, so I got it used up. I used some paper from The Paper Studio for the background and matted it with red. I cut the "joy" from red, also, and added it. The reindeer is mounted on foam squares. Pure simplicity, but I do like it.

"Stained Glass" Irises
A friend recently lost her beloved doggie family member, and this is the card that I made her. She had just mentioned that she loves irises, so I used this stained glass iris stamp on her card. I stamped with Versamark on vellum, embossed with pewter embossing powder and colored on the back with Copic markers. Then I wrapped it around a piece of white cardstock and mounted the panel on foam squares. The sentiment is also embossed with pewter powder.

Another Thinking of You
When I was looking through my stamps last week, I came across this old set from Verve and left it out to make sure I used it. I think the flower can also be a butterfly, as it comes with an antennae stamp, too. I chose to use it as a flower for this card. There is the outline stamp, the "filling in" stamp, the "stamen" (?) stamp and the itty bitty stamp that goes between the two sides of the flower. It was very easy to line up, though. Also the stem and leaves stamp, of course. The sentiment is from the same set. I used a stencil and lightly used a blender brush for the background. I added a few "disco ball" sequins from Gina K for embellishments, which I usually tend to omit.

Thankful Thoughts
I was looking through my wood-mounted Stampin' Up! stamps recently and came across this set of "stained glass" images. I stamped this one on vellum and embossed with pewter embossing powder. I colored the backside with Copic markers and wrapped it around a piece of ivory cardstock and mounted on foam squares. The sentiment is from a different old SU! set and is also embossed with pewter powder. The card base is ivory.

Red Shimmery Splatters
When Amelia (our granddaughter) was here for a few days, I wanted to show her a few things that I had that I thought she would like. I took a scrap of ivory cardstock (leftover from making our Lift and Reveal boxes) and sprayed it with some red Glimmer Mist. The speckles in it are gold. Of course I could not toss it. It sat in my "spray box" until a few days ago. The piece had been scored into squares, so I cut the squares apart. Then I cut some of the squares into smaller pieces. I matted them individually for this first card. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things and is embossed with gold. The patterned paper strip across the bottom is ancient Stampin' Up!
I matted all the pieces on one strip for this card. Again, I added a strip of SU! paper. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. This card measures 6 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches.

Stenciled Mandala Thinking of You
I got some new stencils a couple months ago from Amazon, and I finally used one. I have another one coming up on my blog, too. After using blending brushes and three colors of ink with the stencil, I totally covered the panel with a piece of vellum. I had already stamped the sentiment (from Stampin' Up!) with Versamark ink and used silver embossing powder on it. That panel is mounted on foam squares. I wrapped the vellum around the panel and adhered it on the back, plus I added one glue dot under the sentiment.

Mini Lift and Reveal Boxes
Our granddaughter was able to spend a few days with us a couple weeks ago. We had so much furn. We made never-ending cards and these cute mini lift and reveal boxes. I'm sorry that I didn't take pictures of Amelia's projects.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
I have discovered a great crafter named Sam Calcott. She makes incredible projects. Here is a link to her mini box, but you might want to check out some of her other videos, also. I personally think they are pretty amazing!
When you open the top of the box, the gift is raised up and revealed. I still have to add the ribbon to the Christmas box, and I have no idea what I'm going to put in them, but I sure do love them!

Another Mini Slimline Sympathy
A simple sympathy card for today. The card base is lightly-textured linen-y ivory. I cut the black flowers and the sentiment with dies. Each of them is two layers thick. The background for the flowers is a sparkly, tie-dyed cardstock that I got from a friend.

Celebrate in Purple
I received an order from Gina K about a week ago, and I finally got a chance to play with it a little bit. The completed cardbase had been on my table for a few weeks. It was done with ink on bubble wrap. The flowers and leaves were stamped and die-cut using the newest kit from Gina K. I colored them with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The sentiment, and the background behind it, are from Maya Road. I also added some Gina K disco ball sequins to the flower centers and to the sentiment panel. The small flower and the sentiment panel are popped up on foam squares.
Happy Friday the thirteenth! :-)

Mini Slimlines
Three more of the cards that I made by using up some patterned paper. I added thin strips of black between each section. The roses and the sentiment are die-cut and are each two layers thick. Each of these cards is six and a fourth inches by three and a half inches.
Another die-cut - this one is from Memory Box. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!
Another die and again the Stampin' Up! sentiment.

Patterned Paper Thinking of You
I had made front panels for several cards using patterned paper, and they had been sitting on my stamping table for quite some time. I've been chipping away at them, and finally have them all made into cards. This one uses Gina K papers. I added black strips to the sides of the middle panel. The sentiment is die-cut. I used two black cuts for the sentiment itself, and the shadow layer is a yellowish vellum. It's mounted on thin foam strips for added dimension.

With Sympathy Two-Fer
A friend was over a few weeks ago and bought several of my cards. So, now I need to replenish my sympathy cards. The patterned paper on both of these cards came from a very small pack of 4 x 4 inch papers I got from a stamping friend in Des Moines a few years ago. I used oval Nestabilities on each of the cards. The matting on this first oval is mirror gold. I popped up the sentiment panel on foam squares. I also added gold mirror cardstock strips on each side of the patterned papers. The sentiment on both cards is from Hero Arts. I used gold embossing powder on this first one.
I placed the strips for this one on black cardstock. The sentiment is embossed with black powder. The flowers are ancients ones from Prima, and I added some small, reddish brads.

August Calendar Page
August has somehow rolled around, so here is my calendar page for the month. I paper-pieced the triple-scoop ice cream cone and colored the "drips." I used patterned paper for the background. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions.
