Wedding Shower

I needed a card for a wedding shower, so this is what I came up with. The stamps (umbrella and sentiment) are from an old Stampin' Up! set. I stamped them and then colored the image with Copic markers. I cut the panel and frame with my Waffle Flower rectangle dies. The patterned paper on the side was a scrap I had laying around. I added Star Dust Stickles to the flower and to the umbrella and rain drops.

Patterned Paper Birthday

The card part on this card is the black die-cut frame. I guess the patterned paper is a card part, also, because it was pre-cut and fit perfectly into the frame. The paper is from Gina K. The sentiment is from Stampendous.

Die-Cut Flower in Frame

Finally, a couple new cards from me. Time is just flying by WAY too fast!! Both of these were made from card parts - the die-cut flowers in frames. I simply added backing and a sentiment to each of them and added them to card fronts. This one has some ancient Stampin' Up! patterned paper behind the die cut. The sentiment is from a Stampendous set. I really like it and need to remember that I have it!
This one has glitter cardstock behind it and the sentiment is from Impression Obsession.

Celebrate Your Special Day

Another card parts card. i expect to be doing a lot of them. I really want to make a dent in my book of parts. The parts on this card are the butterflies. I cut more of them, though, so I could layer them. The edges are glitter paper and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

Pink and Gray

Here are two more of my cards made with card parts. The "parts" on these are again the die cuts. I placed them on pink glitter card stock and matted with black. The patterned paper backgrounds are again ancient Stampin' Up! The sentiments are both from Avery Elle.

Pink Mini-Slimline Birthday and Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone, whether you are a mother or not!

I pulled out some card parts the other day and made a couple cards. Here is one of them. Maybe I'll just concentrate on my card parts for a while. It's a very quick thing to do! The "part" on this card is the die-cut butterflies. I cut a panel from some ancient Stampin' Up! paper and matted it with black. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. This is a mini-slimline card.

MANY Christmas Cards

I bought a 12 x 12 pad of Christmas paper awhile ago, and I've really been working on using it. The first thing I did was cut apart the pieces that had smaller squares or tags or strips of patterns on them. I'm pretty sure I've shared some of the previous cards I made. Well, I've made 58 more (for a total of 72, I think)! And I still have most of the full sheets left. Here are some of the cards. I have multiples of many of them and others are very similar. They will be donated - either to our church or to a thrift store my friend, Cheryl, volunteers at and makes cards for. Please don't spend a lot of time looking at them! Sorry about the quality of the photos. It was so much easier to lay them flat on my table for the pictures, rather than standing them upright and using my good lighting. No details given - stamps, dies, embossing folders, embossing powder, glitter paper, etc. used.

Purple Alcohol Ink Background

I finally played just a tiny bit with my alcohol inks again. Well, actually, just one bottle. Hard to believe this was all one color - even the sentiment background. I cut the panels using my Waffle Flower rectangles and then added a die-cut from my card parts. I had stamped the sentiment, from an old Gina K set, right on the background and when I came back later, it had bled. Disappointing, as I really liked it stamped right on the background. But, ya gotta do what ya gotta do, so I dug in my trash can and found the piece I had cut the background out of and figured out the best place to re-stamp the sentiment. I matted it with black and added it over the stamping on the card. This one didn't bleed. I guess the ink was still slightly damp when I stamped the first time.

Happy Birthday, Jonah!

Here is the birthday card I made for a grandson. Can you guess - he is turning 9. LOL! I've had the die-cut sentiment with numbers for several years. I'm sorry that you can't even see the sentiment in the photo - the letters are cut around the circle and say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" with a heart between the "happy" and the "birthday." It's actually quite hard to see even IRL, since it's cut out of black. I did pop it up on foam squares so it stands out a little bit. I added the silver glitter paper to the center and the number 9 on that. I used some patterned paper for the mounting panel and also for the background. I think he will care more about what's inside the card than he does about the actual card itself!

"Wood-grained" Anniversary

I had two more of these flower die-cut pieces to use up, so I made two cards like this one. The die is an Anna Griffin one, I believe. It was cut from shimmery off-white paper. For the background, I actually started with patterned paper, but you really can't see the pattern any more. I scored lines with my Scor-Pal and then rubbed an ink pad over it. The sentiment is from an old Gina K set. It's actually stamped in a green, but it's hard to tell in the photo. The sentiment is popped up on foam squares.

Simple Hello

Just a very simple "hello" card for today. I embossed the background, and then rubbed white ink over the entire thing. Such an easy and effective technique, even if it doesn't show up very well in the photo. I added it to a white card base and then layered the die-cut hellos and adhered it.

May Calendar Page

You'd never know it by our weather, for sure, but May has arrived. Here is the page I made for this month. The flowers are done with stamps from Gina K and the grass is a stamp from Stampin' Up! I sponged green and yellow inks around the edges.
