Ornament Stickers

Another card made with stickers that I pulled out from my stash. They have slight dimension, rhinestones and some metallic-ness to them. I drew the strings with a metallic marker and added a black line down the middle of that. The sentiment is from Recollections, I believe. I added thin metallic stickers around the sides and bottom of the image panel. The patterned paper is from Gina K.

I'm thinking I won't have time for creating for a while. Fun stuff, but busy.

Sticker Cards

I had pulled out my small tote of stickers and then pulled out a group of stickers to use. Here are two cards that I made with a few of the stickers. I think I have some that I just need to toss or give away to someone, but I do have more to use, for sure. I love the simplicity of these cards.

Cherries and Thoughts

Well, I had a few minutes this morning (a "plus" of waking up REALLY early) and made this card. I had pulled out "things" instead of card parts and was trying to figure out what to use. I ended up using some packaging from stickers. :-) The dotted section and cherry section is one piece from a package of Mary Engelbreit stickers. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. I matted that with black and added some enamel dots.

Birthday Stenciling

Instead of taking out card parts to play with, I took out some "things" - stencils, metallic paints, foil, glitter, stickers, etc. I thought if they were sitting on my table, I would use them. I hope to get a chance to do that! This stencil from Gina K was at the front of the stack and I had just come across this blue piece of cardstock that had gotten accidentally put in with my white scraps. Rather than try to figure out where it should go, I used it to stencil on. The sentiment is from Stampendous. I added Liquid Pearls over the dots in the center of the flower.

Sending Birthday Wishes

A friend was over to play in my stamping room last week, and she brought over a Stampin' Up! set that I borrowed. I stamped and die-cut MANY pieces and I used some of them on this card. The flowers, leaves and sentiment are all from that set. The flowers are popped up on foam squares, as are both pieces of the sentiment. The set included the stamp for the "Sending" and also a die for both the word and the shadow. On this card, I used a die-cut sentiment on the shadow. The background is stenciled with a Gina K stencil.

Gratitude

I played around just a tiny bit with alcohol inks again, and stamped on top of my design. But, the ink didn't work on the special paper I had used. So, I flipped it over and did some ink-blending on it and used a different black ink on it and this is the result. The sentiment still spread out a bit, but it's okay, I think. The stamps are from Gina K.

Daisy Thinking of You

I really love daisy cards, and especially those done in yellow, white and black! I pulled out this die to share with a friend, so I quick used it first. The die cuts the flowers, but leaves them in the cardstock. I added yellow enamel dots for the centers. The centers were cut out with the die and I had wanted the yellow polka dotted paper to show through, but I decided that I wanted a little more. I added thin black cardstock strips beside the daisy panel. The patterned paper is from Die Cuts With a View, the daisy die is from QuicKutz/Lifestyle Crafts and the sentiment is from Maya Road.

Soft Grateful

This frame was the last of the card parts I had taken out to use a while ago. I guess it's time to pull some more out! I added an embossed white piece behind it. The folder I used is from Sizzix and is long retired. I love this one! The "Grateful" die and shadow is from Gina K. I ink-blended the shadow piece. I also ink-blended the die-cut flower. (The frame had been ink-blended, also, a long time ago.) I added a few sequins from Gina K around the flower.

Patterned Paper Thank You

Here is another frame I took out of my card parts book awhile back. I also had this piece of patterned paper from Gina K out to use. So, I combined them. I used Altenew dies to cut the thank you three times and layered them up. The orange was just a bit too bright, so I sponged a bit of light brown ink on it and I was much happier with it.

Christmas Joy

I have made tons of Christmas cards already, but I think I have about half of them set aside to give away. So, I'll make more! LOL! This stamped and scored piece was laying on my table. The stamp I used for it is from Gina K. I sponged the same color ink around the edges and added it to a card base. I die-cut the ornaments and sentiment from metallic cardstock and added them.

Butterfly Hello

Continuing on with my card parts. The olive frame and the die-cut butterfly piece were in my card parts. I embossed a piece of white cardstock with a Darice folder to place behind the frame, and I die-cut the "hello" twice and stacked them. That's it!

Leafy Thank You

This die-cut leaf piece has been in my card parts for years and was one of the pieces I recently took out to use. I added green glitter cardstock underneath it and added it to a card base. The sentiment was in my card parts, also. I used a green marker to color in the open areas of the sentiment, matted it with black and mounted it on foam squares.

Watercolor Hello Friend

And one more card with my hand-drawn flowers. Once again I used my Zig Real Color Brush markers. The sentiment is from Gina K. I used a piece of gingham paper from my stash. I embossed the blue strip with a Darice folder and rubbed some white ink on it. The sentiment/flower panel is mounted on foam squares.

Watercolor Thank You

And another painted flower, done with my Zig Brush markers. The sentiment is from Gina K, as is the patterned paper. I added thin black strips beside the ivory panel. I cut the flower and the matting with Nestabilities and popped it up with foam squares.

Watercolor Flowers Birthday

Another card with my hand-drawn flowers. These had both been done close to corners so I had to cut them out and place them in a corner and edge. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I added thin metallic strips along the sentiment panel.

Celebrate Today

I was inspired to try a little watercoloring again, and did some practice flowers. Of course, I then had to use them and not toss them! So you'll be seeing a few cards that I made with them. Here is the first. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I used my Zig Clean Color Markers for the flower and Nestabilities for the die cutting. The card base is ivory and the patterned paper is from Bo Bunny.

Hello Friend

Another simple card (that's what I do!) today. These tiny squares were in a little jar on my table, so I dumped them out and used them. They had been made with alcohol inks and were left-over scraps from an earlier project. I glued them to a piece of brown cardstock and added a sentiment from Gina K. I also used a background die.

Ephemera Birthday

The striped background for this card was from another thank you card that we received. It didn't quite fill up a card base, so I added some kraft cardstock on the top and bottom. The flower and leaves are Gina K ephemera pieces. The sentiment pieces are die cut and are four layers thick. The top layer is gold mirror cardstock.

Sympathy Times Five

I had five more of these stamped "With heartfelt Sympathy" sentiments that I had pulled from my card parts, so I made these five cards. Two for me, two for our church, and one for the thrift store. I cut each of the sentiment pieces with Nestability dies. The stamped and die-cut images are all from Gina K. The flowers are mounted on foam squares.  The background was embossed with a Darice folder.

With Sympathy

Three more sympathy cards and three more card parts used up. The stamped images were in my card parts book. I'm not sure who the maker of the stamp is, as I stamped these many years ago. I added the sentiment to each one - from Bo Bunny. The patterned paper on these cards is from various companies - 7 Gypsies, Gina K and Die Cuts With a View. I also added thin cardstock strips along each of the stamped panels.

Stamping Foam and Hugs

I still have this design impressed into one of my stamping foam blocks, so I used it again. You can't really tell in the picture, but the top and bottom panels are slightly green. They were left from when I ran inked-paper along with a baby wipe through my die-cutting machine. Not much color went to this piece, but I kept it, nonetheless, and now I've used it! I added thin black cardstock strips on each side of the stamped piece and added a four-layer die-cut sentiment.

Stenciled Sympathy

These three stenciled panels are from my card parts book. I matted each of them and added them to card bases. The sentiments were also in my card parts. I matted them, too, and added them to the panels. I think this sentiment is from Hero Arts and the others are from Stampin' Up!

Hello

Happy Independence Day to my American blog readers! Have a safe and happy holiday.

This silver-embossed "HELLO" has been matted and in my card parts for years. It's matted with silver and mounted on foam squares. I think it might be from Papertrey Ink. I embossed a piece of light brown cardstock with a Paper Studio folder and then used white pigment ink to rub over the embossed surface. I used a kraft cardbase.

Stenciled Hello

I played a little bit with a stencil, die ink and a baby wipe a week or so ago. I had used Gina K ink on a piece of white cardstock. Then I put a stencil and a baby wipe over it and another piece of cardstock and ran it through my die-cutting machine. Not a terribly smart thing to do, as the baby wipe was quite wet and made a mess with all the liquid that squished out! Oh well. This is the result of that experiment. I trimmed it down and matted it with black. The sentiment has been in my card parts for a long time. I die-cut the "hello" from silver mirror cardstock and placed black cardstock behind it.

Masculine Birthday

I have had these stamped wheat images for several years, and I finally made use of them. I had pulled out several of my card parts a couple weeks ago, and have used them for the cards you'll be seeing over the next few days. All four cards are the same, with just different colored patterned paper on the card base. Each of the images is matted with brown and popped up on foam squares. The sentiment is from Bo Bunny. The patterned papers are all from a Gina K pack from many years ago. It may be still available, though.

July Calendar Page

Wow - it's almost July 4th! Totally amazing how the summer is flying by! Here is my calendar page for the month. I used my Cameo Silhouette for the heart and the patterned paper is from an old matstack from Recollections. Happy July!
