Repeat Impressions Stamp of the Week - Damselfly

It's Monday already, and therefore time for another Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions.  This week's stamp is 4402-O Damselfly (scroll down a little ways.)  All you have to do to get this great stamp at 50% off - through next Sunday only - is to visit the RI blog, The House That Stamps Built, and follow the instructions.  Check out the awesome cards from the other RI Rock Stars, too!

For my card, I first stamped the Damselfly with Versafine Onyx Black ink on my Crayola "holographic" paper.  I embossed with Detail Black embossing powder and carefully cut it out.  Although you can't tell in the picture, the background is really shimmery silver paper. I embossed the left side of it with a Cuttlebug folder, and then scored the lines with my Scor-Pal.  I stamped the sentiment, from Repeat Impressions, and embossed it, also.  I cut it out with a Spellbinders die and matted it with black.  Then I matted the silver on black, too.  Here is a close-up of the Damselfly.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

  9. Love it, Lynette. Great use of holographic paper, which some people over-use and make everything too glitzy and shiny for my taste! This way, it's a perfect accent. Must try this technique.

I love the accent of the partial embossing, too. Really effective.

    You are very creative!
