Variations With a Tree

A very quick post for today.  Things are relatively back to "normal" after our Group Gathering in Des Moines.  We had a wonderful time and already have our rooms booked for next year!  More about that later - possibly even next week.  For today's post I have two cards made with the same stamp and same simple layout.  This first one is colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  For both cards, the left side of the card is glued shut to the one-inch mark.
On this second card, I paper pieced the tree and the trunk and did a little bit of extra coloring on the leaves.  The sentiment is again from Papertrey.  The trim is done with a Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

  1. I love your tree. I like the shadow you did around the first tree but I like the punch you did around the second card. So no favorite - they are both winners in my book.

  2. Glad you had such a good time with your buddies!
Great trees, I'm going to have to try paper piecing. I really do love that idea of gluing shut the left inch! Thank you again for giving me such great inspiration.
