Flutter By Wednesday - CAS

Time for another challenge from the Flutter By Wednesday blog. The challenge for this week is to make a Clean and Simple (CAS) card - and be sure to remember to include your butterfly or fairy. We'd love to have you join us. Simply upload your card and link it to the FBW blog.

My cards couldn't be much simpler! The images are all simply cut from a pad of patterned cardstock from Kathy Davis. I matted them with some deep pink cardstock. I mounted the butterfly on the first one with foam squares. The sentiment on the first one is from Hero Arts. The sentiment on the second on is from Stampin' Up! Edited to add: Forgot to mention I also added some Stickles to the butterfly and the flower centers.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

  2. I really like these two cards. I don't always read how images are done but I had to read this one. The paper you used and matted is so pretty!

  3. These are gorgeous, Lynette! Beautiful colours, and great to see 2 different interpretations of the same idea. What a shame that glittery stuff never shows up on photos - Stickles for flower centres is one of my favourite uses for it, and it just lifts it and adds a bit of special sparkle! Great stuff.

Thanks for your lovely comment - yes, I did get a really good deal on the stairlift, and the man was so charming too! I can't wait to get in now and start enjoying our new home but there's still a great deal to do.

  6. Wonderful colors and lovely card. You may have thought this "easy," but you'd be surprised at how many people "over complicate" card making. This is a wonderful example of how one can create beautiful, personalized cards without spending hours. It is FAB!
