Birthday Daisies - Part One

Even though I received my new embossing folders, I'm going to wait to use them. I've had a pile of "card parts" on my desk since January. I had just started to sort through some things and to use some stickers when my mom got sick and everything got put on a back burner. I decided it was time to start to use them again.

I stamped this image (from Gina K, I believe) many years ago and paper pieced the table cloth. Tuesday while Wyatt napped in the afternoon, I colored the image and finished the card. I used Copics for the coloring. The patterned paper is old Stampin' Up! I used my sewing machine to stitch a zig-zag border around the edge. The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

  3. LOVE this, Lynette! The image is so cute and cheerful, the colors very pretty with the daisies. And your stitching is perfect! I thought at first glance it was an embossed frame (which would be so awesome), but it is the most perfect and cute zig zag. It looks great! The whole card is very eye catching. Received my embossing folders but haven't been in my stamp room since they came. They're in a neat little pile just waiting for me!

  4. Lovely card Lynette. I also thought that your stitching was embossing. I'm so glad that your life is back to where you can spend time in your craft room and sharing with us.
