Botanical Blooms

Another card in my series of using all of my retired Stampin' Up! sets. This card uses all seven of the stamps from the set called "Botanical Blooms."  Doesn't look like seven stamps, does it?:)

The set includes two flower stamps with stems, the leaves stamp, the sentiment and three stamps to add color to the flowers and leaves. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the images. After stamping, I embossed the bottom third with a new-to-me Darice embossing folder and scored a line above the embossing. I mounted the sentiment on pop dots. A bit of honesty here - I am very practical and generally only make cards that will actually be used. I wouldn't use a card that says "to thine own self be kind." So, after I took the picture, I removed the sentiment and added a birthday one:)

I'm submitting this to Darnell's NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) Challenge. The embossing folder is new for sure, and it's possible that I have never used this stamp set before, either.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

  2. I KNOW I bought this set at a rummage sale. I am pretty sure it was an un-marked box and I don't think the sentiment was there. I may have used it once? I will be looking for it now as I love your design, thanks for the inspiration.

  5. Not only do I thank you for joining in my NBUS Challenge #3, Lynnette, but I thank you for the fabulous inspiration. I, too, have that set and I'm pretty sure it is NBUS! (I did use that sediment on a get well card once for someone who needed to slow down and have some "me" time to get better, but it was on the inside.) This beauty will make someone very happy on their birthday!! Happy New Year!! Hugs, Darnell

  6. I love it! Another set I'm not familiar with. I was trying to count seven stamps before I read your description. I do love those two step stamps. I am that same practical person when it comes to sentiments. I like sentiments that sound like something I might say or maybe quotes that have a particular beauty.
