A very simple card for today. A while back, I tried something. I ran my black cardstock through my Xyron machine and then used a Memory Box die to cut it. That piece has been sitting on my table for a long time. I finally used it on Thursday to make this card. It worked really well! You can't see it in the picture, but I scored four lines on the left side. The "for you" is from a Penny Black set. This card is 4 x 6 inches. A friend gave me a pack of cards and envelopes, and this is from that pack. Thanks, Kris!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
I absolutely love that die. It can be done up in so many colors. Very practical piece to have.
ReplyDeleteI love your idea about the glue on the back. Much easier than a glue pen! Love your black on white design and nope, can't see the scoring but I'm sure in real life it would add lots of texture!
ReplyDeleteA stunning card Lynette. I really love the way my Xyron machine make it so easy to fasten delicate cuts like this.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so beautiful! I purchased this die after you posted the very first card you made using the die. I've yet to use it but I will. :) Thanks for sharing all that you do Lynette.

This is so pretty, Lynette! The contrast is wonderful and really shows off the die cut. You're so smart. I tried running my die cut through the Xyron and it was a mess! Never thought to run the cardstock through BEFORE cutting. Sheesh! I bought double sided adhesive sheets for some of the more intricate die cuts, but I'll try this next time. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI can see the score lines and love that touch to this gorgeous card, Lynette! This die has been in my Wish Book for too long. I think it needs to move up the line!! Hugs, Darnell
