Die-Cut Birthday

Another card using a die cut from our Group Gathering. This piece was left over from the main piece, which you'll see in another card at a later date.

I colored this die-cut with Copic markers. I also cut the flower center with an oval die, cutting off extra so it fit and embossing with a Swiss Dots embossing folder. The butterfly is a Memory Box die, and I cut off half of it. I added a couple pearls and hand-drew the antenna. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I rounded a couple of the corners and matted with purple.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

  2. I remember you keeping that left over piece from the die. You really made good use of it! I threw all of mine away.

  3. That's a sweet card, Lynette! Very delicate die-cuts. Thank you for your lovely comment - we are very fortunate to live where we do, and our coastline is so beautiful.

  4. And now you have another half a butterfly to use later! Pretty with the big flower, and easy to mail. I always love that!

  5. I REALLY love this card...I can't choose a favorite part. I think the technique that grabbed my attention right away was the rounded corners on just two sides...very unique!
