Anyway, here is my card. I had, at some point, added thin strips to cardstock and die-cut this sentiment out of it. Now I cut two more of the same sentiment from really thick cardstock and glued them all together. Then I added it to layers of coordinating cardstock. I punched out the balloons and popped them up and drew the strings before adding the sentiment panel. It really needed something else, so I brought out my Itty Bitty Background stamp set from Stampin' Up! and used it to fill in a little bit around the balloons. That helped.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

I really like this card. It's so celebratory and fun, with all those bright colors and fun elements. I think the dots were a super idea. They unify the whole design. Anyone would love this card, whether child or adult.
ReplyDeleteVery cute card, it's got such a happy festive feel to it.
ReplyDeleteBalloons are always great for birthday cards. I love the multi-colored sentiment!
ReplyDeleteThat sentiment looks very cool cut from the cardstock strips! I have to do something with my bags of Bazzill leftovers. Maybe this! Thanks for yet more inspiration, Lynette!
