They are both scored at one inch from each edge, and then scored diagonally in the middle. One has additional scoring at a quarter inch in from each edge. The lines on both are sanded so the white paper core shows through. (The paper is from Lasting Impressions.)
The one with less scoring has hand-sewn French knots in the intersections of the diamonds. (I got this great idea here.) The other has frosted seed beads in the intersections. Both are stamped with the retired Stampin’ Up! set Elegant Embroidery. And both have “Happy Birthday” sentiments from dollar acrylic sets. I colored both with Stampin’ Up! markers.
So, what do you think? Is less “more” or is more “more?” (Even though they are BOTH pretty “less!”) You can click on each of them for a close look, if you'd like.
Thanks for looking, and I hope you’ll come back and visit again soon!
Both of them are very pretty but I like the one with more, I also like the seed beads. I really like seed beads but forget about using them on my cards. As usual, another great card.
ReplyDeleteI like the "more" one. It looks finished. I just purchased a Scor-Pal & need to try this type of card. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove this card too!
ReplyDeleteI vote for the less one. But I like them both.
ReplyDeleteMore is more - I especially like the sentiment on the non-scored part.

They are both pretty, especially with the knotting. What a unique touch! I prefer the one with the sentiment on the bottom that doesn't have the embossed lines across it.
ReplyDeleteHi! I just popped over from SCS (where you just left me a nice comment in my gallery - thank you). You do such beautiful cards! I love all the uses you're finding for the Scor-Pal.
ReplyDeleteTalk about VERSATILE!!!! You can make some of the "less" cards and always add "more" if you need to add a saying, etc. It doesn't get any better than THAT!!!! AWESOME layout!!!!

These are beautiful! My favorite is the 'more' one, but I really like them both!!!
