I was digging through my "card parts" box (well, actually ONE of my card parts boxes) and took out a few things to use. I would probably share them both with you on the same day normally, but I'm going to be a bit short of new cards, so you will get them spread out:)
The image was already stamped and the rust colored cardstock was already embossed. All I had to do was trim the image down just a little bit and add some Stickles to the flower centers. It is blue, but looks green, even in real life. The image is from Stampin' Up!'s Close as a Memory. I added a piece (from a scrap) of printed paper for the bottom layer. The sentiment is from SU!'s Thoughts and Prayers set, and is stamped in Really Rust.
Don't forget to make a card using Repeat Impressions WHAT IF? Wednesday sketch. You have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate. Also, check out the June Special of the Month, which is "Wings of Summer." Selected "winged critters" are on sale for 25% off.
I'm off to the airport later today to pick up Harriet. Can you tell we all get a little bit excited about our "Group Gathering?" LOL!
PS - What do you think about the change in my blog, or didn't you notice? I like that I could change the column widths, among a lot of other things:)
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
So pretty. I love that SU set, Close as a Memory. Great for those cards you don't want to have to make. I do like the new blog look you have going on here!
ReplyDeleteSee you TOMORROW!!
Beautiful card, Lynette, perfect for a sympathy card. Hope you, Harriet and the other gals have a great time!
ReplyDeleteYes, I did notice the change in your blog and I love it! I love this card, too. It so reflects your wonderful style and knack for keeping it simple and elegant. Have a ball at your gathering! Can't wait to see the pics and hear the stories!

Yep, I noticed the change in your blog right away. Being visually impaired I always notice changes when it comes to things like how easy things are for me to read. Unfortunately, it is more difficult for me to read, but I'll keep coming back every time I get a notice. I do enjoy your cards so much! Have fun at your get-together!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour card is lovely. I do not have a card parts box. It sounds as though it is something I need to start. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I did notice your blog and I think it looks awesome.
