Happy Anniversary, Joyce!

Here is another card using Repeat Impressions Sunflower stamp.  (You can find it on this page.  Just scroll down a little ways.  While you're there, why not check out the other fabulous stamps!)  It is for another friend from our Yahoo! group.  Happy Anniversary, Joyce and Elmer.  See you Sunday!

I colored the image with Stampin' Up! markers.  I used a method from Gina K for having part of an image stick out of a Nestability.  (Edited to add:  Here is a link to Gina K's tutorial.  I apologize for being too lazy to link it up earlier!  After having our daughter and granddaughter here for four days, I just wanted to get this post up!  We had a WONDERFUL visit, but it meant no stamping and VERY little computer!  Thanks for the "nudge" from a blog reader - Colorado.)  After cutting, I used Crushed Curry ink to sponge around the circle.  The scalloped mat and one matting layer are Old Olive cardstock from SU!  I believe the gold layer is Crushed Curry.  I used Cuttlebug folders for the embossing.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts and is stamped in Old Olive.

Don't forget to join in the fun of WHAT IF? Wednesdays and make a card with Wendy's great sketch.  A random winner from June participants will be selected to win a $25 gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

  1. Love it! I really like using that Gina K technique. Really makes it look difficult and she makes it easy. Your chosen colors are perfect!

  4. That's lovely! I love the two colours together, and I especially like your use of the 2 Cuttlebug embossings. I've got the Swiss Dots but not the chevron design. Lovely textures! A really nice card.
