Another Monday brings another Repeat Impressions Stamp of the Week! This week's stamp is #211-P Chickadee at Rest. You can find it on this page - just scroll down a little ways. By visiting the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built, you can find the details on how to purchase this wonderful stamp for 50% off - through Sunday, August 22 only. Also check out the other Design Team members' blogs for inspiration.
For my card, I stamped the image on white with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I stamped it again on a scrap of white and embossed it with Detail Black embossing powder. I colored the background (the branches and pine needles) with Stampin' Up! markers, then sponged light blue chalk over the entire image. I cut out the embossed bird, added a little bit of tannish chalk to the bottom of the breast, and added a tiny "googly" eye. I mounted the bird on Pop Dots. The black corners were punched with an SU! punch. The matting is Old Olive (by SU!) and I scored it with my Martha Stewart scoring tool. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions, also.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
