How about a couple Christmas cards for today's post?
For this first one, I embossed the white with a Cuttlebug folder. The ornament is from Stampin' Up!'s set called Delightful Decorations. I stamped it with red pigment ink and embossed with Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder. I punched it out with the coordinating SU! punch. I added a red brad and some very thin silver cord and mounted the ornament on Dimensionals. I matted with Real Red cardstock.
This card is somewhat similar. The red embossed panel was sent to me by a stamping friend. (Thanks, Suzie!) The ornament is the same as the above card. The twill and twine were in my scraps. The entire red panel is mounted on Dimensionals. The base for both is Papertrey Ink's Kraft.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Both are so pretty but my eye is really drawn to the white one. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty!!! I would really love to know the names of the embossing folders used.
ReplyDeleteThese are both so pretty and elegant! You still reign as the "Simply Elegant" Queen!

Oh wow! I love the clean look of both of thess Christmas cards. I really like the embossing folders that you used too. Both of these cards would be great to mass produce for Christmas.

That's neat the way you have the ornaments "hanging". My favorite is the one with the white snowflakes in the background but that is a neat embossing folder that was used for the second one.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous cards Lynette! Looks great!

You make such beautiful and inspiring cards Lynnette. I just love these. I love the silver cord on the first one with the ornament hanging from the brad. Genius.
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful, (as are all your cards!) but I'm drawn more to the red on the white background. I've been trying to get the DD set for couple of years but not willing to shell out $40-50for the stamps and punch.....thought I had both last year for $30, but the seller flaked.....first time that happened to me, PP gave me back my payment.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous! Love the embossed panels. I've been so tempted by the ornament punch, but then I'd have to order the stamps, too. Gotta stop somewhere!
ReplyDeleteback again for another look! soooo pretty! Maybe I'll just buy the stamps and cut out my own!
ReplyDeleteVery elegant and pretty!
