As a guest "Stamping Tech" this month for Technique Tuesday, I got to participate in the "All Stamping Tech Challenge." The challenge this month was to make some kind of treat packaging. You can find the SCS thread
here, if you're interested.
I'm basically a card stamper, so this truly was a challenge! I thought I'd make the same kind of packaging that I made last year for 2RedBananas project (you can find that
here), but we just happened to get some Ghirardelli chocolates last week, and I thought I would use them instead. I designed this little box to fit three chocolate pieces in. All the stamps I used are from TT's set called "Season's Greetings." The finished box measures 2 x 3 x 1 inches.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with detail silver embossing powder. Then I drew the border lines with a red gel pen. I masked the edges and stamped the snowflakes and embossed them. I stamped the holly leaves on green and cut them them out and mounted them on little pieces of Dimensionals. I added the tiny red gems on the snowflakes and for the holly berries.
Here is the template I made for the box, and my directions. Cut a piece of cardstock to 5 x 7 inches. On the five inch side, score at one inches and four inches. (One inch in from each edge.) On the seven inch side, score at one, three, four and six inches. Crease your scores. Cut in to the one inch score on each score on the seven-inch side. Place glue or tape where indicated on my diagram and assemble the box. When I had the box put together, I also cut a little notch out with a circle punch, to make it a little easier to open. You can either put notches on both of the end flaps, or on the front flap, which is what I did.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
