This card is for my daughter-in-law's mother, whose birthday is on Tuesday.
I used my new Gina K stamps (Vogue Vases) for the flowers and vase. I stamped the flowers with Old Olive on the white, and then again with black on the patterned yellow paper. I cut out the flowers and glued them to the green-stamped image and added the pearl centers. I stamped the inside of the vase with yellow and then stamped the outline over it with black and cut it out. Then I glued it to the flowers piece. I matted with Old Olive and added a scored (with my Scor-Pal) piece of Old Olive near the bottom. The sentiment is from another Gina K set called Stenciled Spring.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Nice colors and arrangement of flowers. I like how you anchored the vase using the scored piece. Yet another idea for me to case!
ReplyDeleteTFS!
Nice flowers and card. I love yellow flowers - they are so happy.
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely, Lynette. I really like how you've done the vase. The shading and outline is superb, and the highlight. It's a very nice design, with lots of textural interest too.
ReplyDeleteLove this BEAUTIFUL birthday card, Lynette, and know your recipient will too! I like the textured strip you've added at the bottom -- really grounds the vase of flowers nicely!!!
ReplyDeleteThis a great Birthday card. The vase hightlighting really makes it pop & those flowers are fabulous! TFS.

ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome card. I love that you paper pieced the flowers and added pearls in the center of each of them.
