I had a decent amount of stamping time this weekend. Not enough, but more than usual:) That was nice. I was able to use up a few card parts, which always makes me happy. I like when the pile is going down instead of growing!
I already had these daisies colored. I believe they are from Flourishes. I stamped them last summer at our Group Gathering. I matted with glittery green cardstock and black. I added Star Dust Stickles to the flower centers. I also added the little bow. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the top part of the background is actually slightly-patterned paper. I used the same glittery green for the bottom. I added black matting and a black strip across where the two colors met. The sentiment is from Stampendous.
This is also for the CAS-ual Friday challenge to use ribbon. You can find that challenge here.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
That's really pretty, Lynette! Reminds me that spring is just around the corner!

I never get tired of daisies. As usual this is a very nice card.
ReplyDeleteThe color of green you used is so pretty and it makes a great main color to go with the white and black. That is one of my favorite Flourishes stamp sets.
ReplyDeleteI love the Flourishes daisies and you enhanced their beauty with this CAS layout!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynette, LOL at your comment on my blog!! Thanks all the same!! I did struggle a bit over this project because I'm still learning on the job as far as Sheba the cutting machine is concerned! Got there in the end, though. Hopefully as time goes on I'll get better and quicker at doing things.
ReplyDeleteI recommended your blog to someone this a.m. - she makes very stylish cards and approaches design in a similar way to you - less is more - very effective! Her name is Barb and her blog is King Designs.
Have a great week!

Shoshi
Oh this makes me smile Lynette. I love those daisies. They seem to pop off your card with that green dp.

ReplyDeleteLynette, I love the card, it is really pretty. Using the green really makes the daisies stand out.
