I love the technique of "embedding" die cuts into a background piece with an embossing folder. On this first card, both the flowers and the sentiment were cut with dies - both Memory Box, I believe, but I'm not 100% certain. I glued the sentiment to the kraft cardstock and then embossed with a Stampin' Up folder. Then I added the flowers and matted with red.
For the second card, I attached the flowers and then embossed. I printed the sentiment on the computer and cut it with a Spellbinders label die and matted with black. Both cards have kraft bases.
Both very pretty cards. I really like them both
ReplyDeleteGreat cards love the color combination and the fact that you embossed flowers on one card and not the other - great ideas!

I've never embedded a die cut into an embossed background. I like the way yours turned out so I'll have to give it a try. I have some of those from D.M, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Thank goodness for the internet and generous creative people like you. I pinned this and will be making it very soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Beautiful cards Lynette! I love the look of the die cuts textured into the background!!
ReplyDeleteI think this technique is really cool, too! It makes me think of inlay. Looks wonderful on the textured background.
ReplyDeleteI think that this technique is very unique! I love it.
