I made this first card for two challenges: the Clean and Simple Stamping blog challenge, which was a sketch and the CASual Fridays blog challenge, which was to use orange, aqua and green.
I cut the flowers using a Spellbinders die. I added leaves underneath and brads for the centers. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
Using the negative strip from the aqua, I simply glued it on a piece of ivory cardstock and stamped the flower centers. It felt great to use up my card parts right away!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Not sure which is my favorite - they are both great - thanks for more inspiration!
ReplyDeleteNot a color combination I would have thought to put together but you made it look great. And nice use of the negative piece of aqua paper!
ReplyDeleteBoth are great cards - way to use u your card parts!
ReplyDeleteI love both of your cards but the first one with the flowers and leaves on it is my favorite. I absolutely love the colors that you used. Beautiful!

Love, love, love both of these! I love using negative space, but I don't do it often enough! Beautiful cards Lynette!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! And a clever way to use up everything :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for playing along with us in the CAS-ual Fridays color challenge!

How efficient to make two cards while your supplies are out! I'm a saver, but find that if something gets saved it has a LOW chance of being used later because I've already moved on. Great motivation to just make something that moment. Thanks so much for joining the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!
