Another birthday card for a friend from our stamping group. Hope you have a great one, Georgia!
I made this card a couple weeks ago for the SplitCoastStampers Technique Lover's Challenge. The challenge was to do a "no-line piercing" technique and then color it. (You can find the tutorial here. Basically, you stamp on the back of your cardstock, pierce around the lines of the stamped image, and then turn it over and color.) I used an Inkadinkado tulip stamp and watercolored with an aquapainter and Stampin' Up! inks. I matted with Mellow Moss cardstock and mounted on foam squares. I embossed the bottom piece with a Stampin' Up!/Sizzix folder. The sentiment is from TPC Studio.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
So delicate and a lovely card!
ReplyDeleteIt is even prettier in person!
ReplyDeleteInteresting technique. I will just have to give it a try. I really like the softness of the image. Thanks again for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI missed this technique so I'm glad you shared it here. I like how you've finished off the design.
ReplyDeleteThat is really a different idea. I'll bet she'll love it!
ReplyDeleteOh, I see! Interesting! And then you would actually have a reverse image. Pretty cool! I like how it turned out. Mellow Moss is still one of my favorite greens, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card. The colors are so pretty and very spring like.
