The anniversary card I made for our daughter and son-in-law. I'm still working on my "card parts."
I'm not sure why I had them, but the three little blue squares, the two tiny pink flowers and one of the green leafy things were in my card parts. The flower got set on top of the green piece and I thought that worked pretty well, then I set them on the blue and I figured that would work, too. I just had to cut one more green piece and then the matting squares. I originally had them all as diamonds, but decided to put the side ones as squares. I mounted each of them on Dimensionals. The sentiment is from Papertrey. The background panel is a die cut I did last summer at our Group Gathering. It was cut with a Spellbinders die, I believe. I mounted that on Dimensionals, also.
I made this one a few days after the first one, but the post hadn't gone live yet, so I decided to add this to the same post, since it uses the same die cut and kind of the same layout. (Oh, my - what a long sentence!) I punched the circles with an EK Success punch. I sponged ink around the edges of the circles and also the edges of the die cut. The sentiment is from Stampendous. I mounted the main panel on Dimensionals.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Both cards are beautiful Lynette. I hope that your daughter and her husband have a very Happy Anniversary. I know that they will love your card. Your so thoughtful. :)

These are both so pretty, Lynette! The soft sponging is such a wonderful touch. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to think what the first card brings to mind... Swiss? Norweigan? Maybe just quilts or county. I don't know, but I really like it. Love the pretty blue sponging of the die cut on your second card, too.
