Making more progress with my Stampin' Up! project - another set used! The set that I used for today's cards is called "Love Blooms." It consists of six stamps - the basket, the birdcage, the stems, the flower, and the two sentiments.
For both cards, I stamped the sentiments on previously-cut ovals and mounted them on foam squares. I stamped the basket, colored it, and masked off the top of it before stamping the stems with green. I added the flowers, stamping them three times without re-inking. I matted the image panel with a matching green and covered the entire card front with patterned paper from a Recollections stack.
For this second one, I stamped the stems and flowers (using a different color ink, but again stamping three times without re-inking.) Then I stamped the birdcage over them. I added a little color to the cage. I matted with black and left the card front totally white. On the sentiment panel (which I realized was crooked a tad, and I fixed it!) I added three silver "pearls" with Liquid Pearls. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Such cute little designs! Really tiny to color but yours are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteReally cute cards, Lynette! I like your layouts with the sentiment ovals above the images. Funny how you don't notice certain things until you see the card in a photo. You always put your cards together so perfectly. Good progress with your SU sets!
