Here are the valentines I made for our grandkids. I already posted the one we're giving to our granddaughter - these are for the boys.
I used the same die for each of them - cut out of different colors. The embossing folder I used for them is from Darice. The "Be My Valentine" stamp is from Inkadinkado. The "To my Special Valentine" stamp is from Darcie's.
Edited to add: The white border was done with a Martha Stewart punch. Thanks, M-J!
Is that Martha Stewart punch for border? Love it!
ReplyDeleteThese are great Valentines. Love that heart die. Looks like you have four grandsons. We have 5 grandsons and 5 granddaughters. Lots to make Valentines for!!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards for your grandkids!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a question for you about your cards. I recently bought this die and looked around on the Internet for some ideas on how to use it. Everyone seems to be using the inlaid technique as you seem to have done. So, my question is - do you have a trick to keep all the little pieces from flying everywhere when you remove the top cutting plate and then start moving the die cut around in order to assemble a card? No matter what die I'm using, it seems like pieces fly all over after I cut it. Most of the time it doesn't matter as they are just the pieces you will throw away anyway. But, if you want to inlay them back into the die you can't if they have flown away! LOL!!! Maybe I'm just too much of a clutz to do the inlaid technique, but I thought I'd ask if you have a trick to keep parts from flying away.
Thanks!!
One die, three very different cards. I love it! The embossing folder is very cool. I know you have a bunch of them. Have you ever counted? Just for fun some friends and I counted embossing folders, die sets, and paper pads recently. I came in at a very conservative (compared to them) 90 embossing folders. They're all contained in one basket and I do use them, some more than others. You know how I love them! Cute cards today, Lynette!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so pretty! You always make cards that appeal to me!
