I wonder how many blog posts I have done with that title:) Another very simple card again today. I hope to be able to spend extended periods of time in my stamping room soon!!
The stamp I used for the flowers is by Stampendous. I stamped on kid's watercolor paper. That's the last of it, though. Now I'll start using the "real" stuff. I used my new Derwent Intense watercolors to paint the image. I'm really liking watercoloring. Maybe I'll even start doing pictures. We'll see. I'm guessing not. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I added thin strips of black on the edges and used a kraft card base. I also added Wink of Stella to the flowers.
Stay safe and stay well!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
I love these Stampendous flowers! They're perfect for the kind of watercoloring I love best and which you did very well. I recently ordered some Stampendous flowers, but they're still in the basket. I hope I'll be able to spend more time in my room soon. Every day there's something that puts a tight limit on my time. Never bored!
ReplyDeleteYour new Derwent watercolors definitely give intense color to your painting. This turned out great! I can see the texture on your paper and was surprised that your stamped sentiment turned out so well. I know it's difficult to get a good, clear stamped image on highly textured paper. I think you should do some free-hand painting with your new watercolors. You seem to do so well with the stamped images, I'm sure you'd do great freehanding it, as well. My son-in-law has great artistic talent and he gave us a watercolor lesson once, and I've even taken a watercolor class through community ed. I still struggle with it. I'll keep trying, though.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't ever heard of Derwemt watercolors, but your image is certainly very pretty!
