The middle section of this card was done with a die from Altenew, I believe. I embossed with it and it cracked the paper into two pieces. I didn't want to toss it, so I separated the two pieces onto black matting. I think it looks pretty cool. I ink-blended some light colors on each piece. I think it would have probably looked better if I had done the colors continuously down the page instead of doing the same pattern on each piece, but ... The stamps are from a Gina K set that came with my SCT kit. I think I've pretty much used the pieces from the kits, other than the patterned paper that came with it. I may add some coloring to the butterflies later.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Simple yet beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Lynette, the delicate colours make a great background for your lovely butterflies.

I think the separated pieces look very cool, too. I think a little color on the butteflies is a terrific idea. It would draw the eye to them as a focal point.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Lynette, this is pretty cool! And I love the soft beautiful colors of your ink-blending! Hugs, Darnell
