I stenciled the leaves using green distress ink and a Memory Box stencil. The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set. I matted with black, and the card base and image panel are ivory.
We actually did our sky diving on Saturday!! We just assumed it was off again, as the weather forecast was for thunderstorms. However, we got a call about 9:30 that it was on! Kind of changed our plans for the day:) What an awesome experience! If you are interested in seeing the videos, you can find them on my YouTube. Here are the links:
Edited to aded: Maybe I hadn't said this, but my dad was not able to go with us:( The prostate cancer that he had many years ago reappeared, and has spread to his bones. It would have been too dangerous for him to jump. He wasn't even able to watch us, as he hadn't quite returned from his cruise.
This is so amazing Lynette. I love the pop of flowers and the stenciled leaves. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely! You show case those flowers on the stenciled leaves perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to watch your videos! I'm glad you were able to do this with your dad, what a memory making trip!
I have been loving your cards, and this one is no exception. I really, really loved watching your sky diving videos. That's one of the things I wanted to do, but never made time for it. Watching your video of the descent seemed almost like being there. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card! I really love this one!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting on the skydiving! I always thought it might be such an adrenaline rush!
I am so sorry to hear the news of your Dad. Hugs and you are all in my thoughts!
Lynette, I was holding my breath as I watched your jump! WOW! Good for you for being so adventurous!
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful.
I'm sorry that your father's cancer has returned. I hope that he is having a wonderful time on his cruise.

It's a lovely card! I checked out your videos..........I had a knot in my stomach just watching you get ready to make the jump even though I knew you were down and safe! You'd have to pry my hands off the side of the plane to get me out there and I'd probably be a statistic. :)
ReplyDeleteThose daisies are so pretty! Your card is just lovely all over and a perfect sympathy card, though I'm sorry you needed it. So you finally got to go sky diving! I'll be sure and watch the videos. That's about as close as I want to come to sky diving! Glad you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteYou are FAR braver than I, my friend! (F-A-R....) So glad you were able to do it though! Keeping your dad in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteAnd your card, as always, is lovely! ♥
