A member of our stamping group who lives in Canada and isn't able to attend our Group Gathering always sends many stamp-offs for us to share. I've used one for today's post. Thanks, Annie!!
The image was embossed with gold embossing powder. I colored it with markers. I actually colored it three or four times - one color over another. I first started with what i thought was a yellow, but it turned out to be too orange. On top of that, I used a lighter yellow, a pink, and I think one other color. I used two shades of brown for the flower centers. I doodled around the edge, matted with brown and used a piece of patterned paper underneath.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Very pretty. Even though you may have thought the first color too orange, with the additional markers and choice of dp it was the perfect choice!
ReplyDeleteWOW! The depth of the flower makes it look like embroidery! I also like the fact that you used just a bit of patterned paper to bring out the colors. Well done, Lynette! You constantly are amazing (and inspiring) me!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea so Annie still feels a part of the group! You colored and doodled and framed her image beautifully, Lynette! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice idea for her to send images when she can't be there, herself. I love how this looks with orange coloring in the gold embossed outline. A very classy, clean and pretty card!
