Here is another card using one of my new Memory Box dies. I simply used the die to cut out a portion of the panel. I added the sentiment (from Hero Arts), added some Perfect Plum cardstock under the die-cut part, and mounted on foam squares. Ta-da! :)
Edited to add: The die I used is called Distressed Addington Collage from Memory Box. This is the entire die. There are four designs with the set. I ordered mine from Cropstop, but I don't see it on her website right now. (This link may or may not work: Distressed Addington Collage. If not, you can go to the Memory Box website and search for it. PS - I got two new Memory Box die sets for my birthday - this set and the Stitched Rectangles set. Both were purchased from Cropstop. They were both on sale.)
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
love this card. how did you only die cut only a portion -- maybe it is time for a video. thank you
ReplyDeleteLooks like Santa brought you a lot of new Memory Box dies, Lynette. Or did you find a good sale??????? (If so, please share the seller!) I love Memory Box, but can never find a good buy on them and with coupons and sales on what I normally buy locally and online, my husband expects me to only buy craft supplies when I can get 40% off or better. LOL! I'm with your previous commenter on wanting to know just how you did the partial die cutting. I'd guess just run it part way into the die cutting machine at an angle, but it looks so perfectly cut, it looks like that's the way the die is made.
ReplyDeleteIt makes a gorgeous card, however you did it.
I wish they sold those dies separately instead of a set of four. I really like this one. It does make a really neat card and so quick and easy. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI also love this card...the partial die cut portion makes such a strong message! Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card, and a great way to use one of the "distressed" dies. When Memory Box started making them, I resisted, but they are really growing on me, as they leave just the right amount of space for some words. Thank you for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteOh Lynette, this is a stunningly beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card with your die cut! I don't have any of these MB distressed dies yet. There's always so many dies to love!
ReplyDeleteI really love your card! I, too, would love to see a tutorial on how you did a partial on that die cut. It is striking!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing!
