Talk about pressure - imagine making a card for THE Taylor Van Bruggen! LOL! I wanted to send her a thank you for her hospitality last week when our group visited her home. This is what I came up with, using her set Garden Party Blooms in a Clean and Simple style.
I used Versamagic inks in various colors. I used the "Rock and Roll" technique on the flowers, inking them with one color and then just rolling another color ink pad on the edges. The "rick-rack" on the bottom layer is a stamp from the same set. I embossed the image panel with my Swiss Dots folder and rubbed the edges with an ink pad. I added some of Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to the center flower.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
Very, very pretty and fun! She'll love it.

I know what you mean about feeling intimated sending a card to a who's-who in the rubber stamp world. I know she will love your card and the CAS take using some of her own stamps. Good job girl!
ReplyDeleteIt's a very pretty card, Lynette! I'm sure Taylor appreciates seeing some of the cards we make too. I love the flowers in that set.
ReplyDeleteShe'll love it! So pretty !
ReplyDeleteI think it's a very cute card. She'll love it! Now I have to go look up the "rock and roll" technique. That's one I've not heard of before.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! The card that you made for Talyor is beautiful. I'm sure that she will love it. I really like the technique and the colors that you used on your card Lynette.
