WHAT IF? Wednesday - a Repeat Impressions Sketch Challenge

Time for another Repeat Impressions WHAT IF? Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  Just make a card using the above sketch and upload it to your blog or on-line gallery and leave a link on the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built.  (If you upload to SCS or another on-line gallery, please use keyword A2510.)  A random winner from the month of September will win a $25 gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.  Besides being fun, it's also worth playing for! :)  Check out the other Rock Star's wonderful cards, too.  Here are links to their blogs.  (I will update with links to the specific posts when I can.  Edited to add: DONE!  Entries for the challenge must be uploaded by 5:00 p.m. EDT on September 7. )

Here is the card I made for the challenge.  Funny thing, though - I printed out the sketch a while ago, and somehow I got it "stretched" and the main circle was an oval.  Oops!  When I went to upload it to our group page, I saw the "real" sketch!  Oh well - sketches are always open to "creative license!" LOL!  I used a stamp from the newly released Snow Globe sheet.  I stamped it with SU! Night of Navy ink and paperpieced the base with some Fiskars paper.  I used my Oval Nesties for the image and also for the matting.  The circles were punched and I sponged Night of Navy on the edges.  The sentiment is also from Repeat Impressions.  (I inked up only part of it.)  I added pearls, and also some glitter to the snow globe.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

  3. I like your "stretched" oval! It gives room for the whole globe. Good choice of snowflake dp!

  5. Such a GORGEOUS card, Lynette. And I love the creative license you used, too. I used to make square cards a lot more often, but the cost to send them just gets higher and higher. Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful card, Lynette!

  11. Did yoy make the sketch Lynette? It is very different from what I have seen. Your card is absolutely lovely. I like that you used the oblong rather then the circles. How long does the sketch go to?
