Kids' Birthday

I made these cards for my friend, Cheryl, to donate to the thrift store she volunteers at - and makes tons of cards for! The stamps are from Penny Black and I used assorted patterned papers for them.

Baby Cards

My friend, CHERYL, donates many cards that she makes to a thrift store that she volunteers at, where they sell very well. She mentioned a bit ago that baby cards really sell fast and she had to make more. So, I made these cards to give to her, along with several more cards that I have made. All of these cards except the last one are made with images from Gina K. They were stamped, colored (or paper-pieced), die-cut and popped up.

Baby Boy

These scraps of blue plaids were also on my table. I matted each of them and thought they would work for a baby boy card. I dug out a set from Inkadinkado from forever ago. I colored the cute little teddy bear with Copics and popped him up on an oval. The sentiment is from the same set.

For Baby

Another card part. The stamped image was done many years ago. I believe it's from Repeat Impressions. I embossed the top panel with a Cuttlebug folder. The sentiment is part of an old Stamping Up! stamp. I added the thin red strip (very crookedly!) at the bottom of the embossing panel.

"Topper" Baby Card

This is a simple "topper" card - the cardbase is totally folded across the top of the patterned paper and the circle is placed so it sticks up above the top. I had the circle on my table and found a die that would cut a piece to fit on the circle. Then I used a Nestability die to cut the scalloped matting. I added the white dots on the scallops and decorated the teddy bear with dots and plaid. I added stickers for his eyes and drew in the mouth and nose. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado, and I also added some enamel dots and embossed the white circle.

Five More Sticker Cards

I've had these stickers for many, many years. I made these simple cards with them. The stickers themselves are white with lines around the edge. The sentiment on this card is from Stampin' Up! I colored the image with Copic markers.
I matted this panel with white and added it to a card base. The sentiment is from Avery Elle.

The embossing was done with a Darice folder.

Cards for Baby

This teddy bear was another stamp that I kept from the stamps that were given to me. I did finally get the rest all given away. I used three different sets of colors for them. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. The panels are matted and mounted on foam squares. These first two use an Anna Griffen/Cuttlebug folder and the last one uses a Paper Studio folder.

Baby Boy Cards - Part Two

And here are the last three baby cards I made for our neighbor. The shoes on this one are stickers.

I cut out the giraffe for this one and mounted it on foam squares.

Baby Boy Cards - Part One

Here are three of the baby boy cards I made for my neighbor and a friend of hers. Not much for details necessary, I believe. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to email me.

I might possibly add a little more coloring to the image on this one.

Baby Girl

A neighbor asked me if I would make her a baby girl card, so I made her three. Here are two of them. Hopefully I can get the third one posted tomorrow or Saturday. These are just very simple cards. I had only about an hour to make them, but I like them clean and simple anyway! All the stamps are from old Stampin' Up! sets. The backgrounds were embossed with a Darice folder. The coloring was done with Copic markers.

Baby Boy

Our nephew just had a baby boy last Sunday. Here is the card I made for them. The baby, rubber duckie and bottle were cut from white with a very old, unused Cuttlebug die. I colored them with Copics and then paper-pieced the baby's onesie. The ovals were cut with Nestabilities. The oval, duckie and bottle are mounted on foam squares.

Various Flat Cards

A few years ago, I made these tiny cards. I thought they might work for gift cards, but I just never used them. I finally just put them on flat pieces of cardstock and called them done! I did finish them each up somewhat differently.

Boy and Girl Onesies

These two cute little onesies were in with my card parts. They had been stamped on patterned paper and cut out. I used Copics to color the snaps and the trim pieces. I found a sentiment stamp that I liked and stamped it with matching inks. I used a Copic marker to add the edging. The background was in my parts, too, but not from very long ago - just last fall, I believe. Possibly even this spring - pre-pandemic!
Same thing, but I used an ink pad around the edge of this sentiment panel. The background is from an old Die Cuts With a View matstack.

Baby Boy

We had a drive-by baby shower last Saturday, and this is the card I made for it. The cute little teddy bear is from Inkadinkado. I paper-pieced his onesie and colored with Copics. The sentiment is from a Studio G dollar stamp set from a LONG time ago. The sentiment and the image panel are both mounted on foam squares. The background paper is from Die Cuts With a View.

Left-Over Squares Cards

You knew these were coming, didn't you? :) I have used the squares left-over from these cards to make today's cards. They are all very much the same, so not much description. The die I used to cut these squares is from Papertrey Ink. The stamp is from a really old dollar stamp set. The stickers are all from the same set.
These are Martha Stewart flowers. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is embossed in white.
More stickers and a Papertrey stamps.
These stickers are all from the same set, too.

Die-Cut Baby Card

I received several new dies on Tuesday (and I still have another batch coming in a few weeks.) One of my new ones was this little train. I just thought it was so cute. I cut it out of textured blue and used a sanding block to highlight some of the features. The "Congratulations" was cut from the same cardstock. The train is mounted on foam squares. The background cardstock is from an old Die Cuts With a View matstack.

We've been keeping so busy! We just painted our kitchen. That took about five days to sand walls, wash walls, tape, paint (two coats!), untape, touch-up and put things back. I do love the color. As soon as we finished that yesterday, we started getting ready to have work done our floors. We have hardwood in the kitchen and entryway. We are going to have it refinished darker. We are also going to add a "hallway" to our dining room (which was the sunroom, but we put our dining room table in there) and also put hardwood in the dining room. In order to do that, we have to empty everything from the kitchen, the dining room, the entryway, the area outside our bedroom and another small area outside the office and a bathroom. Whew! We are also removing the trim boards ourselves (well, mostly Jim, but I'm helping!) and will clean and refinish them. Should look nice - I hope! They will start September 11 and I think they said it would take about a week. More disruption, but it will be worth it.
