I took a little time today and spent it in my stamping room. I had more "card parts" out and found several of these holly leaves I had cut out with my Cameo Silhouette a couple years ago. Time to use them up! So I made this card and liked it well enough that I made ten more. Sixty Christmas cards done - about twenty to go.
As I said, the holly was cut on my Silhouette out of glitter cardstock. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I added red gems (yes, they really ARE red and not black) for the holly berries and also to add a little balance at the end of the sentiment. I matted with green cardstock.
Since this is a Christmas card, I am linking it up to the Christmas Card Challenge blog. The theme this week is "Anything Goes."
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
A place for me to share the cards I create, and maybe a few other things, too!

Wishing You ...
I need six anniversary cards for November. Now, WHO would get married in November??? (Kidding - WE did! :) )
I made three cards like this one. It's very similar to yesterday's card. The flowers were done with My Favorite Things dies. (Thanks, Sheri!) I hand-drew the stems. The sentiment is from Verve. The bottom layer was die-cut with a stitched rectangle die.

Happy Anniversary, Eric and Brooke!
Today is our son and daughter-in-law's ninth anniversary! This is the card I made for them.
The flowers were cut last summer using a die from Memory Box (I believe) at our Group Gathering. I also cut out the stitched rectangle there using a die. The sentiment is from Verve. I added small red gems to the flower centers and mounted the entire panel on foam squares.

Dotted Elephant
More "card parts." I stamped and die-cut the elephant and the balloon when I was in Omaha last spring. I colored the elephant almost right away, and then the pieces went into my "stash." They have finally surfaced and made it on to a card:) They are from WPlus9.
I used Copic markers for coloring and a white gel pen for the dots. I mounted the pieces on foam squares. The sentiment is from a miscellaneous stamp that I've had laying around for a long time - not sure who made it. I embossed the bottom layer with a Darice "Wire Fence" folder and matted with matching blue cardstock.

Sunflower Anniversary
A simple anniversary card made with a "card part." I have had this stamped image for several years. In fact, I have several of them:) I colored the image with Copics and added a very light blue for some sky. I added the sentiment - from Papertrey Ink. I trimmed down the panel and mounted it on foam squares.

Card Parts Birthday
Well, I did spend some time in my stamping room yesterday afternoon. I got four cards made - yippee! I spent some time in there this morning already, too, after I got up really early. I've been working with "card parts." That seems to have gotten me going again. I didn't get any cards made this morning, but I have several pieces laying around to work with next.
This card uses two card parts - the panel that the sentiment is stamped on and the background piece. I believe that I did the sentiment background with distress ink on an acrylic block. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I matted with black and mounted on foam squares. The bottom layer was done with a Fiskars texture plate. After embossing, I must have brayered some distress ink over it. I matted that layer with black, also. I think this card will go to my nephew.

Tree Sympathy
Gosh, it was nice to finally have a little time in my stamping room! I've been out of town the last three weekends and have been busy (or taking a nap!) when I've been home. I needed a sympathy card, though, and took advantage of Wyatt's nap time yesterday. Even though it's a very simple card, I still couldn't get it finished yesterday since he woke up early. Today I don't have him, though, so I got a chance to finish the card. Maybe this weekend I'll have some more creative time!
For this very simple card, I used a tree stamp from My Favorite Things. I inked it up with green ink, then wiped the green off of the trunk and added brown with a marker. After stamping, I used a lighter green marker to color the leaves of the tree. I inked up the sympathy stamp (from Papertrey Ink) with the same brown marker that I used on the trunk. I found a brown piece of cardstock that matched the brown marker very well and I matted the image panel with it.

Happy Birthday, Andrew!
Can you believe that our oldest grandson, Andrew, is SEVEN already! No way:)
I'm hoping he will like this card I made for him, as he received this android robot (from Star Wars) for his birthday. I had never heard of it, but he is BB-8:) I found the image on-line and printed it out. I printed it a second time, cut it out, and mounted it on foam squares. The sentiment is printed in a Star Wars font. I matted the image with black.

Halloween Bat
As with yesterday's card, I used the owl punch from Stampin' Up! for this card. My friend Bonnie saw this card on Pinterest and wanted to recreate it. I thought it was cute, too, and made this card. The bat is the owl punch. The wings are a long oval Nestability cut in half and then cut with a circle punch. The branch is also an SU! punch. I sponged white ink lightly on all of the edges. I added googlie eyes and mounted the bat on foam squares. I punched the moon with a circle punch and sponged orange ink around the edges. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado. I used an orange marker to color it. For the background, I used a Paper Studio embossing folder, brayered white ink on it, and then used it on a piece of black cardstock. I used orange cardstock for the matting.

Halloween Ghosts
One of my Halloween cards for the grandchildren. A friend was over to stamp on Wednesday and I worked on them. She brought the Stampin' Up! owl punch and I made these ghosts with it. Tomorrow you will see another card using it. The spider web background was embossed with a Paper Studio embossing folder. I brayered some white ink over the raised parts after embossing. Bonnie brought over the "BOO" stamp, also. I stamped it with Versamark and embossed it with white powder. I cut the stamped sentiments with a Nestability die, lightly sponged some white ink around the edges and mounted them on foam squares. The eyes were done with the owl punch, also, and I added the white dots with a gel pen.

Vogue Vases #3
Another card using the Gina K set called "Vogue Vases." I stamped the image with green ink on white, and with black ink on the patterned paper. I cut out the flowers from the patterned paper and glued them to the white cardstock. I added pearls for the centers. I stamped the sentiment with black. I used the same patterned paper for the matting. I used a Cuttlebug border folder and used a sanding block on it. I also scored three lines with my scoring tool and sanded those down, as well.

Vogue Vases #2
Another card using the set called "Vogue Vases" by Gina K. I stamped the image with green distress ink and colored it with Copics. I added yellow pearls for the centers. I stamped the sentiment with the same color ink. I mounted that panel on foam squares.

Patterned Paper???
Looky here - I used patterned paper! LOL! I got this matstack of lovely patterns, so I thought I should at least use a few sheets before I put it away. It's from The Paper Studio.
The stamps I used for this card are from a Gina K set called "Vogue Vases." I stamped the vase on the patterned paper and cut it out. I stamped the flowers on the white cardstock and then added the vase. I first inked up the stamp with the green ink, then used a black marker to ink the flower outlines on the stamp. I colored the flowers with Copics and added gems for the centers. I matted that piece with brown cardstock and mounted on foam squares. I used the same cardstock, matted with the same brown, for the bottom panel. I used a different pattern to cover the whole cardfront.

Two More Swirly Trees:)
I have two more Christmas cards that I've made with my Memory Box Christmas tree die. I guess I feel I need to make several to get my money's worth from it!
I had one more left that was cut out of white cardstock. I placed it on another piece of white cardstock and then sponged green distress ink over the whole thing. This gave me a green piece with a white tree, and a green tree. I matted the green piece with shimmery gold paper. I stamped the sentiment - from Paper Smooches - with Versamark and embossed with detail gold embossing powder. I added several red gems to adorn the tree.
I used the green tree for this second card. I again matted with shimmery gold, and I mounted that panel on foam squares. The patterned cardstock is from a Recollections matstack that I got a few years ago.

October Calendar Page
Wow - it's October! Amazing how time is flying by - just like the witch on this calendar page! :)
First I brayered on the yellow ink. Then I positioned a cut-out circle and brayered the rest of the background using a Kaleidacolor pad. The stamps are both from an Inkadinkado set.
Links to files for my blank calendar pages are available under my blog title. I'd love to hear from you if you use them!
