Another card courtesy of Kris made at our Group Gathering last week. The background and the moose are die cuts. They were placed over patterned paper. I added the sentiment, which is from Bo Bunny.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
A place for me to share the cards I create, and maybe a few other things, too!

Painted Flowers
I can't take any credit at all for this card, other than I'm the one that actually made it. All of the supplies and the stamped image were provided by Kris at our Group Gathering!
We sprayed the background color on the stamped image. Then we used paints and applied it "chunkily" to the flowers, stems and bee. I also added Star Dust Stickles to the bee's wings. I'm not sure if I will add a sentiment somehow before I send it out, or not.
The die that I used on this card from a couple days ago is from Taylored Expressions.

Golden Dragonfly
Isn't this a beautiful dragonfly? I cut it using a Memory Box die and gold foil cardstock. I mounted it on foam squares. The sentiment is embossed in black and is by Stampabilities. I cut several more of the dragonflies, too, to be used at a later date!

Birthday Balloons
Another die-cut birthday. The die cuts the frame and the balloons with strings. I cut it using black cardstock and also patterned paper. The die also cuts two balloons separately, to add to the ones overhanging the frame. I added the colored balloons over the black ones and popped the two extra ones up on foam squares. The background was embossed with a Darice folder. The sentiment is from a Stampin' Up! set. I cut it out and mounted it on foam squares, too.
In response to yesterday's card: The Spellbinders die that I used on it is called Mary Border Strip.
Edited to add: This die is from Taylored Expressions.

Die-Cut Birthday
When I saw this card by my friend, Vicki, I thought, "I have a die I can use to do that!" So I did:) My die is by Spellbinders. I cut it out of the front of a card. I placed some glittery paper behind it, scored the lines with my Scor-Pal, and then put a quarter sheet of cardstock behind the entire front to cover up the glitter paper backing and the scoring. The sentiment is from a Papertrey set and is stamped in a dark violet.
Edited to add: The Spellbinders die that I used for this card is called Mary Border Strip.

Group Gathering - 2017
Last week was our annual "Group Gathering." We meet up in Des Moines each year. (Well, except for our first year, which was in Reinbeck, Iowa.) This was our eleventh get-together! Here we are in front of the store we meet at in Valley Junction. Dawn is so awesome to let us use the facilities for our three-day stint:) It's called Inspire Papercrafting. From left to right: Georgia, Sheri, Kris, Joyce, Harriet, me, Vicki. Can't wait til next year! In addition to our time in Des Moines, I get to spend a couple extra days with Harriet, as she flies in to Minneapolis and stays with me.
Hopefully I can get some of my cards posted soon - shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Bright Colors - Color Swap
This is another card I made with new dies - and card parts - and then I realized that it worked for this month's color swap in my stamping group. The colors this month are "bright colors."
The new dies I used are the rainbow pieces and the sun. The rainbow die is one piece, but it cuts all six pieces at one time. I used Copic markers to color them. I cut the sun out of bright yellow, and I used the same yellow for matting. I printed the sentiment on my computer and used a yellow Copic marker to draw around the edge. The cloud die-cuts were in with my "card parts." The clouds are mounted on Pop Dots.

Christmas Deer
I was supposed to be getting ready for company and packing up for our Group Gathering in Des Moines yesterday, but I took some time to make this card. Some new dies came in the mail yesterday and I had to use them right away! :)
The die I used for this card cuts everything you see in green - the deer, trees and snowflakes. I used a sentiment from Papertrey ink, bending it to fit the curve - not quite enough, but hey, I tried! :) I stamped it with Versamark ink and embossed it with a light blue embossing powder. I matted it with a textured blue and then the same green. The background was embossed with a Sizzix folder on shimmery white.
Off to Des Moines this morning! We'll have a blast!!

Wedding?
Another die:) This time it's the heart with birds and flowers. I cut it out of this white panel. Then I used a distress ink cube to ink it up. I set it back into its original position. I added a piece of olive-y green behind it and matted it with a purple to match the die ink. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! I think it would make a nice wedding card, but would also work for an anniversary or even a birthday.

"Loon-y" Birthday
Another "guy" card for my stash. While I had my Tattered Angels stamp set out last week, I stamped this frame and cut it out. Then I had to figure out what to do with it. I thought a nice loon would work well, so I used the Repeat Impressions stamp and stamped it with gray. I trimmed it down to fit under the frame, which I had mounted on foam squares. I embossed the cat tails on the left side with a Cuttlebug folder. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! I stamped it to match the frame, and I also used matching cardstock to mat the bottom layer.
Edited to add: The embossing folder that I used on this card is a border folder. No trick involved - just used the narrower folder! :)

Thinking of You
Another of my new dies. (I've had such fun shopping for cheap dies on Amazon. Takes a long time to get here from China, but it's worth the wait:) ) The entire light green piece was cut with one die. I tested it out on the light green and decided I should use that piece. I cut a piece of white cardstock to fit into the center section, then stamped the sentiment on it - from Stampin' Up! I mounted the entire piece on Pop Dots. The background paper is from a matstack from Bo Bunny.

Die-Cut "Guy" Card
I made this card using one of my new dies. The die is the "squiggle." I used three Copic markers to scribble on some white cardstock, then used my die to cut it out. I cut it again on another piece of white, then put the colored piece into the second die-cut. There were also, I think, five little pieces of white that had to be fit back into the colored part. For the matting, I used the same Copic markers to color around the edge, for matching matting. (Kind of hard to tell in the picture that the matting varies in color from corner to corner.) The sentiment was stamped on a thin strip of white and mounted on foam squares. I used the darkest color of red to color around the very edge of the sentiment. I thought this would make a fine card for a guy, something that I'm lacking in my "stash."

Anniversary Poppy
Another card using the same Penny Black stamp set as a couple days ago. I stamped it on a previously-cut circle with "stitching," colored it with Copic markers and added black Stickles to the center. I used a Spellbinders die to cut the matting for it. The butterfly is also from the same set. I cut it out, leaving a white border around it, and mounted on Pop Dots. The sentiment is from PSX.

Daffodil Birthday
The daffodil on this card is by Penny Black. I stamped it on a very smooth, almost shiny white cardstock with black Memento ink. I colored it with Copics and matted on dark green cardstock. I also mounted it on Pop Dots. The sentiment is one that I die-cut a few weeks ago when a friend came over to play:) I added a black gem for the dot on the "i".

Touch of Nature
Another card using the same set from Crafty Secrets as yesterday's card - very similar. Again, the background stamp is from Tattered Angels and the flowers and sentiment are from the Crafty Secrets set. This time I used the same color as yesterday for the stamped background (different stamp) but I used black to stamp the flowers and then I colored with Copics. I cut the panel with a Memory Box die and matted with dark green. The patterned paper on the left side is from a matstack I've had for SO many years and have never used - by Jodie Lee. I matted it with the same dark green. I also mounted the image panel on Pop Dots. Not sure what this card could be used for, but I do like the way it turned out:)

Hello
A simple card today, and a short break from my Stampin' Up! project.
I've had this Crafty Secrets stamp set for several years, and I don't think I've ever used it. The stamps from the Crafty Secrets set are the flower and the "Hello." The background stamp is from a Tattered Angels set. I stamped the background and the flower in shades of green, and matted with a matching green. I cut the image and the matting with Memory Box dies.

Heavenly Days #3
My third card using the Stampin' Up! set called "Heavenly Days." The stamp on this card is the heart. I stamped it with Memento black ink, colored with Copics, added Star Dust Stickles to the dots and the flowers, and mounted on foam squares. There is one more stamp in this set that I won't be using at this time. It is a sentiment stamp that says, "Have a heavenly day."
This card is a center stair-step card. I haven't made one of these for quite a while. (You can find the measurements and directions on this blog post. If you are interested in other of my stair-step cards, you can see them by following this link.) The textured, white-core paper I used is from Die Cuts With a View. I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder and sanded it lightly with a sanding block. The sentiment is from Inky Antics. The butterfly was cut with a Memory Box die.
