SCT Class - Hero Arts - Last One!!

And the cards from the SCT class from Hero Arts. The last one! I did it!! :-) This one involved ink blending, die-cutting and a bit of stenciling.

This may be my last post for a while. It's been fun doing the class cards, but we've had so many things on our to-do list. We've been chipping away at it, but keep adding more things as we go along. We've been doing the Christmas shopping, but have to finish that. And even though the cards have been done for a long time, we still have to do the letter and get the cards ready to mail. Deciding which cards each person will be getting is a job in itself!

In case I'm not back before then, Happy Thanksgiving to all.

SCT Class - Picket Fence

Here are the SCT Class cards from Picket Fence. The images (girl, background studio pieces and easel) were preprinted and die-cut. We were also provided with a stamp set (with the dies), a stencil and some special paste. We used the stencil for the backgrounds on all of the cards. For this first one, we put the ink on the stencil, misted the stencil and then placed the white panel on top of it.
This one had the yellow paste through the stencil and then yellow ink blended over that.

This one had ink blended on the panel, two coats of clear embossing powder over the entire surface and then some paste added over that.

SCT Class - My Favorite Things

Here are my cards from the My Favorite Things class from the SCT class.  This first one is a flat panel on the bottom layer and the smaller panel is the actual opening card.
This is a special fold card with a belly band. Lots of little die cuts.

And more little die cuts, plus some stenciling.

SCT Class - Brutus Monroe

And here are my cards from the Brutus Monroe class from SCT. There isn't much stamping on these cards - it's mostly rub-ons. The set included stamps, dies, rub-ons and a stencil.

SCT - Stamps of Life

Here are my cards from Stamps of Life for the SCT card class. I'm moving right along! By the time this posts, I may have them all done. Yippee.
The first card - a modified gate-fold card.
Here is the second card - an easel card.

And the last card.

SCT Class - Honey Bee

Here are the cards from the Honey Bee class. Please check out the post for the last card, which is so awesome - and was so putzy! All the little pieces are die-cut. The stencil was in the kit - it stenciled the circle and also the designs on the plates, etc. So much detail!

The bottom layer is patterned paper which includes the wreath and the sentiment (and the background, too, of course.) The rest are die cuts.

I die-cut the card base using the bottom layer die. This die set was huge! There was also a small sentiment set and a stencil.

The cabinet doors open and there are dishes in them.
The inside of the card. This really isn't my kind of card, but it's pretty amazing, I think.

SCT Class - Gina K Designs

Ahh, I am doing the SCT classes in order, and I finally reached Gina K. I really do love her cards. She was so generous with supplies for the class. There was a full-sized stamp set with dies, the oval stencils, and also the background stamp. We used the "kissing" technique with the silhouette stamps and the background stamp.

SCT Class - Ranger/Simon Hurley

These four cards are from the SCT (Stamping and Cards Today Crop and Create) class that I took starting in September. Lucky for me that the classes are all on YouTube, as I was not able to do them live. I finally finished three more classes. Maybe I'll have more of them done before this post publishes.

This class was Simon Hurley for Ranger. Most of the cards are identical to the class cards. The kit consisted of the stamps and dies, stencils and AstroPaste.

Gina K-Designed Cards

Gina K made some cards like this on one of her recent videos. So simple and pretty. You mask off the stripes around the edges and then use stencils and ink-blending. The sentiments are from my parts and were done with the Glimmer Hot Foil system. They are popped up, of course. I added three really old Martha Stewart gems to each card.

Up-Cycled 25th Anniversary Card

While going through the cedar chest, we came across MANY cards. We tossed them all except a silver anniversary one. It was just too pretty to toss. (Gosh, we got that 25 years ago!! LOL!) The original card was prettier than this one, but this one will do. The background, the sentiment and the silver embossed panel were all from that card. The sentiment was on vellum, and I was able to save that, also, and add it to the inside. This is a larger card measuring 5 x 6.5 inches.

SCT Card Class - Altenew

It's fun to be a little bit caught up and have time in my stamping room - it feels great. These cards are from my SCT card class from Altenew. The inks and markers they used on the cards were supplied by other companies - OLO and Concord and 9th.

Hard to tell in the photo, but this first one was embossed in gold powder. It was colored with the OLO markers. I added some Nuvo drops. The panels on all three cards were mounted on foam squares.

On this one and the third one, I used silver embossing powder. (The same image was used on all three cards.) There is white ink-splattering and also some pewter Liquid Pearls.

I didn't get the images close enough together to use the sentiment that they used in the card class, so I found a large one from Recollections to use. This card  was watercolored with the Concord and 9th inks. Again, I added Nuvo drops.

Butterfly Thank You

The butterfly on this card is left-over from my SCT card class. The die and the patterned paper are from Pink and Main. I ink-blended a whole lot of colors over the top layer to try to match the plaid background! In the end I was pretty happy with the color results. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. The patterned paper for the background is from Gina K.

Thinking of You

This card was inspired by my friend, Vicki. She has made several of this fold lately. It's so simple but really adds a lot, I think. She has used very pretty papers, though, and I just used some fairly plain patterned paper. The sentiment is from Gina K. The flowers are from Altenew and were in my card parts book. I actually did some paint splattering for the background of the flowers.

Leftovers Thinking of You

The three flowers pieces were left over from my card class. At least I THINK all three of them were. The center was cut from kraft, so I added ink to it. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday. The white panel had been embossed with a die. I ink-blended the edges of a white panel for the matting. The embossed background was from my card parts book.

Wonderful Day

A scrap of patterned paper was the basis of this card. I added thin strips of green on the top and bottom of it. I found the Swiss Dots embossed pieces in my card parts book and, cut in two, they fit perfectly on the top and bottom of the card. Added the sentiment and called it done. :-)

'Tis the Season

My second Christmas card for 2025. The focal image is left-over from my calendar making. It's part of a Darice folder, matted with green metallic and popped up on foam squares. The sentiment is from Echo Park.

Anniversary Thank Yous

We requested donations to local food shelves and a child food program instead of gifts for us for our anniversary, so I'm expecting to need several thank you cards. I made 35 of these. I hope I need more! The paper is from Recollections. The sentiment on this first one is from Verve. The sentiment on the second one is from The Paper Studio. Simple, but I like the layout and I based this card on a previous one I had made. The panels are popped up on foam squares.

Ferny Birthday

The background for this card was made from my card class. The folder is from Spellbinders and is so pretty. I had done the ink-blending per the instructions, but then when I went to emboss the panel, I did it upside down so it's debossed. I didn't want to use it on my card-class card so I set it aside at the time and now it's on a card. This card really isn't my favorite, but you get to see all the cards that I make! I added the foiled sentiment (on foam squares, of course!) and some gold sequins.

Using Up More Parts

These card panels were pretty much made and laying on my table ready to be put together and finished. The patterned paper is from a matstack from Recollections that I had been working with a while back. Then I added some pre-foiled sentiments from my little box of sentiments.

The gold-embossed-on-vellum butterfly on this first one was also in my card parts. The sentiment and the butterfly are popped up on foam squares.

This sentiment is from Gina K. I added three Nuvo drops.
