I stamped this lighthouse (from My Favorite Things) on the card front, trying to use my sparkly die-cut piece that ultimately ended up on yesterday's card. That didn't work, either. But, I really liked the lighthouse so I made it into this card. I masked off the right side of the card before I stamped it. I added the patterned paper from Recollections. I stamped the sentiment (from Stampabilities) onto a strip of white cardstock and added it over the patterned paper.

A place for me to share the cards I create, and maybe a few other things, too!

Birthday
How's that for a title:)
Well, here is the card I promised you in this post. I cut the die-cut and sparkly-backed piece that I used on this card off of the panel with the balloons. They didn't seem to go together. I still didn't know what to do with this part, so I simply mounted it on foam squares and added the sentiment from Stampabilities.

Valentines
I cut all of the pieces (including the card base) with a Sizzix set that I borrowed from my friend, Georgia. (Thanks, Georgia!) It's hard to tell in the pictures, but some of the hearts were cut from red foil cardstock. This is such a cool set!

Flowery Thanks
This piece of off-white cardstock with the embossed "thanks" was in my card parts box. Time to use it up! It was embossed years ago with an item from Sizzix. It's a brass stencil in a clear plastic folder with a piece of hard clear plastic formed in the shape of the stencil to push the cardstock through. I know I didn't describe that very well, but does anyone else remember them??? I still have several of them. :) I haven't used them for years, but after digging it out to check it out, maybe I'll to use them again some time soon!
Anyway, I simply cut a piece of patterned paper and adhered it to the embossed piece and placed it on a white card base.
It feels good to have been spending time in my stamping room and using up more parts. I have not forgotten my "mission" to use all of my Stampin' Up! stamps, but that project has been put on hold for a while. I was feeling "stifled" creatively, but I'm looking forward to getting back to it.

Die-Cut Flowers Birthday
Another birthday card for my stash. And another "card part" used up. This die-cut of flowers was in my pile. I glued it on a piece of white cardstock and colored it with Copics. (I assume it's a Memory Box die, but I'm not sure.) The sentiment is from Impression Obsession. I'm really making use of this set while I have it out! I rounded the corners on the panel and mounted it on foam squares. I also rounded the corners on the card base.

Color Swap Sympathy
I made this card for a color swap in our stamping group. The colors are gray and light blue.
I cut the left edge out with one of my Memory Box Addington Distressed dies using light blue cardstock. The flowers were stamped in gray with a Hero Arts stamp. The sympathy sentiment stamp is from the same set and is stamped in black. I matted with gray cardstock.

Celebrate!
Another card - woo-hoo! :) I have actually had a little time and have been feeling well enough to play in my stamping room. It's been awesome! It's been taking a while for the mojo to come back, though. I rarely get sick and if I do, it usually only lasts a couple days. I am just getting over a cold that I've had for over a month! I was rarely totally "down and out" but felt pretty crummy for a while and am still coughing and blowing my nose a little bit. Sorry - more that you wanted to know. LOL!
You may notice another card soon with this same angle on it:) I had used one of my Memory Box dies to cut a card front. I added some shimmery blue cardstock behind it, and then added these balloons and sentiment from Impression Obsession. However, the die cut and shimmer just did not match the balloons and font of "Celebrate!" So, I trimmed off that part and matted this piece with a piece of colored, slightly patterned cardstock. I also added some Diamond Glaze to the balloons.

Birthday Greetings
I got a Bow Easy from a friend who was giving away all of her stamping supplies (thanks, Lucy!) and so I have a few bows laying around:) I thought I'd put one on a card.
The ribbon kind of reminded me of a picnic basket, so I went with my Basket Weave Darice embossing folder for the bottom of the image panel. I added a piece of matching ribbon above the embossing and used a piece of sewing thread to tighten a place to put the bow. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession. The card base and image panel are off-white.

"Hello Friend"
This card was a long time in the making, and I'm not real pleased with it. But, I'm glad to have it done! :) And since I haven't had anything to share with you for a long time, I'm sharing this!
I cut this main piece with a new die set a while ago (Spellbinders) and while I like it a lot, I don't know what to do with it. I cut the large piece out of a mottled green cardstock and embossed it. Let it sit for a few weeks. Put the die back on and sponged some green ink in the center. Let it sit again. Added the sentiment (from Papertrey) and, you guessed it ... let it sit again. I kept picking it up and trying to figure something out. I had had the black underneath it for a while, and trimmed the piece down a bit. Finally, I added the black pieces in the corners. They were cut with another die from the same set. I was almost pleased with it, but not quite. But, at that point, it was "good enough!" Looking at it now, I'm wondering if some patterned paper behind it might have been a good idea. The main panel is mounted on foam squares.
Stay tuned - I actually have a card for tomorrow, too! :)

Simple Birthday Wishes
I had cut out this scalloped circle for Wednesday's card, but decided that it was just the wrong color. So, instead of adding it to my card parts, I just decided to use it. I used the same sentiment (from Impression Obsession), but stamped it in the middle and added a punched flower with an enamel dot center. I mounted the sentiment panel on foam squares. The left side is textured cardstock embossed with a Cuttlebug folder (Anna Griffin Matelasse) which I sanded down to let the white show through.
I haven't had much stamping time lately. Sure hope I will again soon! I have sorted out all of my "card parts" though and have everything in cellophane envelopes in ONE fairly small box! That feels SO good:)

Pink Flowery Birthday
More card parts. I had this main panel in my card parts pile - the floral image stamped in pink on off-white cardstock with off-white vellum on top of it, matted with matching pink cardstock. I took the pink cardstock layer off, die-cut my scalloped circle from it, and glued it back on. I stamped the sentiment - from Impression Obsession - on off-white cardstock and cut it out with a die. (Both dies are from Spellbinders.) I scored several lines under the sentiment with my Scor-Pal and added three enamel dots. The sentiment panel is mounted on foam squares.
Regarding yesterday's card: The die I used is called Distressed Addington Collage from Memory Box. This is the entire die. There are four designs with the set. I ordered mine from Cropstop, but I don't see it on her website right now. (This link may or may not work: Distressed Addington Collage. If not, you can go to the Memory Box website and search for it. PS - I got two new Memory Box die sets for my birthday - this set and the Stitched Rectangles set. Both were purchased from Cropstop. They were both on sale.)

Simple Sympathy
Here is another card using one of my new Memory Box dies. I simply used the die to cut out a portion of the panel. I added the sentiment (from Hero Arts), added some Perfect Plum cardstock under the die-cut part, and mounted on foam squares. Ta-da! :)

Stampscapes Sympathy
When our granddaughter (age nearly six) was here for Christmas, I gave her a lot of my "card parts." She and her brother have been having fun with them, from what I hear. Awesome! I should be getting something in the mail soon from them. I went through all the rest of my card parts and now have them all organized and in one small box! This card uses one of the pieces.
I'm honestly not sure if someone gave me this Stampscaped panel, of if I made it myself - with a lot of direction, of course! However I got it, it has made it onto a card. It's done on glossy cardstock. All I did was add the sentiment (from Hero Arts), matted it on black and added it to a card base. I think it makes a very calming sympathy card.

New Baby
My good friend from forever ago, Lucy, is the one that got me started with stamping. However, she quit shortly after I started:( She finally decided it was time to get rid of her stamping things. After a couple garage sales, she gave me her stamps that were leftover. This cute stamp was among the stamps I decided to keep. It's from PSX. Thanks, Lucy!
I stamped the image with Memento black ink and colored with Copics. I cut the colored image out with one of my Stitched Rectangles from Memory Box. I added Star Dust Stickles to the moon and star. I mounted the image on foam squares. The patterned paper is from Debbie Mumm. I cut it out with one of my other new Memory Box dies. I love these! The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I somehow managed to stamp the sentiment crooked, so I just went with it and added the image crooked, too! If asked about it, though, I would probably say it's at an angle so the baby won't fall off the moon! LOL!

More Daisies
When I was making yesterday's card, I messed up this piece. But, I decided to use it, anyway:) I was missing the very top of one of the daisies, and since I was using my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I thought I could fix it. Wrong! It got slightly double-stamped. I still colored it before I decided not to use it. And now here it is. I matted with very glittery blue cardstock from Die Cuts With a View and mounted on foam squares. The sentiment is the same as yesterday's card, too - from My Favorite Things.

Daisy Birthday
I made a card. It felt so good! :) It's been a long time since I've had time in my stamping room. Simple, but a card nonetheless.
I got to use my own "Stitched Rectangles" dies. Yippee!!! A birthday present that I am thrilled with. These are from Memory Box. The daisies were stamped with an old Hero Arts stamps - twice, lined up with my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I colored them with markers and mounted on foam squares. I added some sparkle with Star Dust Stickles. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things and is embossed with detail white embossing powder.

Happy New Year ... and January Calendar Page
I used five Inkadinkado stamps for this page - the snowman and five different snowflakes. I was able to put them all on one block, though, so I still only had to stamp once. I used a couple markers for the coloring on the snowman. I matted with thin blue paper and added some Diamond Stickles to the snowflakes. The sentiment is from an old sentiment set that I've had for years.
Happy New Year to all!!
