Another card using up some "card parts." I've had this image stamped (with gold embossing powder) and matted with shimmery gold paper for quite a while. It was a stamp-off from a friend. (Thanks, Annie!) I mounted it on foam squares. The background was also in my card parts from last summer. I had rubbed a green distress ink on a piece of water color cardstock. Then I misted a background stamp with water and stamped over the distress ink. The stamp removed some color and left the image of the stamp lighter. The background stamp is from Recollections.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
A place for me to share the cards I create, and maybe a few other things, too!

Long-Time Friend #1
Another card in my years' long project to use all of my Stampin' Up! stamps. This card uses the set called "Long-Time Friend."
I stamped the image with Memento black ink and colored with Copics. I used another sentiment from my friend's stamps and I don't remember what brand it is. I cut the image panel down and mounted on foam squares.

Birthday Daisies
When I was just in Omaha, stamping with friends, I made this card. The stamps were Georgia's, and I didn't pay attention what brand they were. I'm pretty sure the daisies are Stampendous.
I stamped the daisies with Memento black ink and colored with Copics. I added Stickles around the edge of the image panel, at Sheri's urging:) I matted with green and used a white card base.

Happy Birthday to You!
Another "card parts" card. The flowers were stamped and die-cut a couple years ago at our Group Gathering. I added some color to them with Copic markers. I mounted them on foam squares. The background was cut a while ago on my Cameo Silhouette. It's a coppery color. The sentiment is from Stampendous. It's matted and also mounted on foam squares.
I have not been babysitting Wyatt for about four weeks now, and will have another month and a half off. I have a long "to-do" list and am making great progress. One of the items on my list was to go to Omaha and visit a couple of my stamping friends. I just got back yesterday afternoon. What an awesome time! We had over two full days of stamping and visiting time - what could be better! Thank you SO much, Sheri and Georgia!!!

Yellow and Blue Swap Card
I bought this die from CropStop a while ago at a very cheap price, but found it hard to work with, since it's an odd shape for standard A2 cards. However, it fits perfectly on the 4 x 6 inch cards that I've used lately. I had intended to use the vanilla card base, but it looked better on white. This is for a color swap in my little stamping group. The colors (in case you couldn't guess!) are blue and yellow. I cut the blue piece using the die from Couture Creations. Then I matted it with yellow and trimmed the yellow down so it didn't show on the edges. I stamped the sentiment, then cut the tag with a Spellbinders die. I sponged blue ink on it before removing from the die. I added hand-doodled dashes along the edges.

Pine Branches Christmas
Another Christmas card for today. I had to try out another new punch:)
The punch I used for the pine needles is from Martha Stewart. I scored lines with my Martha Stewart scoring board. The sentiment - which I THINK is from My Sentiments Exatly - was embossed with puffy green embossing powder. The card base is kraft.

Christmas Joy
I found this already-stamped panel in with my "card parts" and thought I'd make it into a simple card. I don't know off-hand who makes the stamp. It was stamped on textured red cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. I cut the white frame from shimmery paper. I mounted the image panel on a white card base.

Gold and Black Birthday
I was shopping one day last week, and went to Marshall's. I really do not like shopping, but I had some time to kill. I had no idea that they would have any craft items there! I bought two Martha Stewart punches and some markers at a great price.
I used some shimmery gold paper for this design. I used one of my new punches. It was an extra-deep one, and I punched it from the top and from the bottom, lining them up. I added a thin gold strip across the top. I matted on black. I used a stamp from Papertrey Ink and gold embossing powder for the sentiment.

Pink and Black Birthday
A very simple birthday card for today. I've been trying to work on several things simultaneously, and making a little progress with each task. This one is using "card parts." The flower was cut a long time ago with my Cameo Silhouette. I added the "stitching" lines with a white gel pen. I mounted the flower on Dimensionals. I found the thin black strip of cardstock by my paper cutter and thought it would work well. The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set.

Glittery Birthday
I love sparkle, but don't use it as often as I would like.
I placed a sticker from Elizabeth Craft Design on a square of double sided sticky paper, then pressed glitter over it all. I used markers to color over the glitter. I matted with black. The sentiment is from Stampendous.

Kid Cards #3 and 4
The last two cards with the Stampin' Up! set called "Kid Cards."
The first - a birthday card. The package is popped up on a Dimensional. The patterned paper for both cards is from Recollections.
On this card, the butterfly is popped up.

Kid Cards #1 and 2
The next set in my mission to use all of my Stampin' Up! sets. Today's set is called "Kid Cards." It's another set that looks like kids' drawings - four simple stamps. All four cards are basically the same, but I'm splitting them up into two day's posts, because I'm running out of cards to share with you! I thought I had so many, but life has been too busy for stamping time.
This first card is a congrats card. I popped up the smiley face on Dimensionals. The image is colored with Copics. The layers are matted with black. The patterned paper was purchased at Michael's, but I don't remember the brand.
For this second one, I colored with Copics and popped the ornament on a Dimensional. Again I matted with black. The patterned paper is from a Recollections stack.

Happy Birthday, Amelia!
I had cut a background piece with my Cameo Silhouette and I decided to use it as a stencil. I sponged pink ink through it. I matted that with pink, also. I used two small Cuttlebug folders to emboss the crown and the "Princess." I matted that piece with pink, also, and mounted on Dimensionals. The letters are pearls - they came as letters. I actually bought them with the intention of cutting them apart, but I just came across them and thought they would be great for Amelia's card. I added the ribbon - which is a bow that I tied attached to a ribbon across the front. I used a piece of thread to tie around the ribbon before I attached the bow.

Anniversary
An anniversary card for friends - the sentiment is on the inside:)
I used a tri-fold cardbase for this one. I embossed the front with a Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Matelasse folder. I placed a sticker from Elizabeth Crafts Design on vellum and colored on the back with markers and placed it in the circle opening.

Artist Choice Swap
For some reason, I had this cardstock cut and scored into a card base. As you know, I rarely use anything but white! But, I decided to use this one up. I embossed it with a new (to me) embossing folder - Anna Griffin Matelasse for Cuttlebug. I embossed the strip across the middle with the border folder that came with this set. (Thanks for enabling me, Vicki!) The flower image is from a Gina K set. I stamped it with Memento black ink and colored it with Copics. I added yellow pearls to the flower centers. (FYI - I DID do this card before I did the "hello" card from a few days ago using this folder. And I wrote the post before that one. You just saw that one first:) )

Merci #4
My last card with the Stampin' Up! set called "Merci."
I started by sponging two shades of yellow ink through a Heidi Swapp honeycomb stencil. I stamped the three bees and colored them with markers. I added the sentiment (from Papertrey Ink), matted with black, and added Star Dust Stickles to the bees' wings.

Merci - #3
My third card using the Stampin' Up! set called "Merci."
For this card, I used the butterfly, and also the sentiment again. I embossed the background with a Darice folder called "Oblong Doily." I stamped the butterfly twice and colored with Copics, then added the sentiment. I added Star Dust Stickles to the butterflies. After they were completely dry, I added gems. I matted with blue.

Merci #2
The next card in my goal of using all of my Stampin' Up! sets.
This set is called "Merci." It's actually the second card from this set. (The first one was last Friday.) I stamped the flower three times, changing the orientation of the middle one. I colored with Copics and added brads for the flower centers. I used a marker to draw the stems. I matted with turquoise. The sentiment is from the same SU set.

Hi There!
Another simple little card. The flower is the last sticker in a package by Sandylion that I got from a friend several years ago. I put it on white and scored some horizontal lines and also a diamond pattern. I added the sentiment (from Papertrey Ink) and mounted on green and on foam squares. The background paper is from my vast stash.

Elephant Birthday Wishes - and an Update on my Dad
Another card made up almost entirely of "card parts" from my box.
I found the little elephant, cut from chipboard of some kind with a Cuttlebug die, the white panel embossed with my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder, and the patterned pink part, done with my Letterpress. I just put them together, added gems for the elephant's eyes, the sentiment from Hero Arts, and a piece of pink ribbon. Oh, and I also first sponged on some gray ink on the elephant.
It's been a while since I've mentioned anything about my dad. He is doing GREAT!! He has his taste back already and can eat whatever he wants with no problems! The weather down in Atlanta hasn't been the greatest, but it's been better than Minnesota:) He'll be back home in about a month or so, and we'll celebrate his 90th birthday with an Open House.

Hello!
Another card to use up a few items. A couple years ago, I bought a small pack of these flowers and butterflies from the Value Spot at Archivers. I still have two butterflies left, but I have now used all five flowers.
The flower "stem" is a stamp from Inkadinkado. It is more than just this part, but I trimmed it down, as I didn't want the rest of it on this card. I added the flowers and mounted it on foam squares. I used another of my mis-cut calendar pieces to mat it with, and matted that piece with green. I added the butterfly and embossed the background with a new-to-me embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
Edited to add: The embossing folder I used on this card is by Cuttlebug - Anna Griffin Matelasse. It comes with a border folder, also. My friend, Vicki, used one and I "had" to have it! It's really not all that often that I feel I need to have something that someone else uses, but I really loved this one!

Flowery Birthday Wishes
I've been working a little bit on trying to use up some things. Several years ago, my friend Harriet gave me some Sandylion stickers that I had admired. I still had two left and I used them up on this card and another one I'll share soon. It also uses the other half sheet of patterned paper from the daisy card I posted a couple days ago. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. This card is 4 x 6 inches.

Valentines in March???
How silly - Valentines in March:) But, I post what I make!
This first stamp is actually a continuation with my mission to use all of my Stampin' Up! stamps. It is from the set called "Merci." I mis-cut some white cardstock (fifteen pieces) when I was working on my next year's calendar, so I had several of this size image panel to use up! I stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Copics. I matted with red and added an enamel dot to the flower center. The background was embossed with a Darice folder.
In response to a comment, I added information about the stencil I used for yesterday's card to yesterday's blog post, as well as a link to a YouTube tutorial I did quite a while ago.

Embossing Paste Daisies
While going through some "card parts" I found this embossing paste daisy panel. It was mounted on pale yellow cardstock, which I removed. It already had some pale yellow sponged on the edges. I simply found some patterned paper to layer it with and added it to a 4 x 6 inch off-white card base.
Edited to add: The brass stencil that I used is a Dreamweavers - LL549. I did a tutorial on YouTube a few years ago, which you can find here.

Versamark Marker Flowers
While digging through some things, I came across my Versamark marker. I was surprised to find out it still worked. The tip was quite worn, but I could use it.
I stamped the flower image from Gina K on to some lavender cardstock. I colored the flowers with the Versamark marker and embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I colored the rest of the image and added gems to the flower centers. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. The single flower on the right is the one that I first tested the marker on, so I cut it out and added it to the card.

Happy Birthday, Nancy!
This card is for a member of our Yahoo group. Happy Birthday, Nancy! I hope your card arrived on time.
I stamped the poppies (from Penny Black) with Memento black ink and colored with Copics. I didn't intend to cut them out, but I somehow got some black spots too near to the image to just trim it. So, I cut it out very close to the image. I used a tri-folded card that I bought in Des Moines last June. It comes with the circle already cut out and then a flap folds over it in the back so nothing shows. I embossed the front section with a folder from Darice. I added mulberry paper (how's THAT for a blast from the past???) behind the cut-out circle. I die-cut the sentiment last June at our Group Gathering, but I'm not sure who it's made by. Edited to add: Thanks, Vicki! The die-cut sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and is from Birthday Sentimentables Die set.

March Calendar Page
Ah, March! Maybe it will warm up now! :)
Here is my calendar page for this month. I cut out all of the circles (for the fifteen calendars) with my Cameo Silhouette. The stamps I used (the one in the circle and the one at the bottom) are both from Studio G. I colored the clover with a Copic marker. The patterned paper is from Recollections.
