Fancy-Fold Birthday

I saw this card on Cheryl's blog a while back and wanted to make one like it. I made a little variation on it. I really meant to stamp the two panels differently, but then I forgot and stamped the same image on both! LOL! I just added the sentiment to the hidden panel. I stamped the images in color, them stamped over them with Versamark ink and clear-embossed them. I added my image panels as squares instead of diamonds.

Here is what it looks like when it's opened. I just realized that I didn't put my card on a panel, either. (I did add a black panel to the completed card, but didn't take a new photo.)

Double Gate Fold Card

I saw this card layout on Liz's blog awhile back - very cool. I asked her for the link to the instructions and she sent me this link. Thanks, Liz! I finally got around to making one. The flower on the belly band was from my parts (dies by Altenew) but I changed the flower center to match the card better.

Four "Scrap" Cards

I used up four scraps on these cards. Maybe leftovers is a better word, but they were on my table and I wanted to use them up. The heart was the left-over piece for this card. I used a Gina K stencil to add the design to it. I traced around it on the gold cardstock and cut it out a little bit bigger to add the mat. I embossed a piece of white cardstock and matted it with the same gold. The heart is popped up. The sentiment is from Gina K, also, as is the embossing folder.

The center panel on this first card was done while cleaning my brayer from a previous card. I embossed it with a Sizzix folder. I added the thin strip of gold metallic on each side and die-cut the  sentiment from the same card stock.

The patterned paper scrap was left over. I simply matted it and added the die-cut sentiment and shadow - from Gina K. I also added three little embellishments.

The patterned paper on this one is the left-over part. I added it to the left side and then added a thin strip of brown. The sentiment is from Gina K.

I'll probably be absent for a while again. Lots of things going on! I'll be back when I can.

Simple Thinking of You

Finally, another card! Life has been busy - too busy for card-making. For one thing, we are redoing a bathroom and that requires lots of decisions and shopping and checking out tile, etc. At any rate, I do have a card for today. I still have some card parts sitting out, and this made use of one of them. The oval had been die-cut and I had brushed some green over it. I pulled out my current favorite flower stamp set and stamped the flowers and the sentiment. Then I used the coordinating stencil and colored it. I added some shimmery enamel dots and added them. The background panel was embossed with a 3D Altenew embossing folder.

Wedding in White

Our niece just got married and this is the card I made for them. The embossing was done with an Altenew folder. I simply brayered my new favorite color ink (Moonlit Fog from Gina K) lightly over it. The sentiment is also from Gina K. I added three silver nail heads around the sentiment.

Thank You

I needed a quick thank you card, so I went for my favorite flowers, which are of course popped up. The stamp, stencils and die are from Gina K. I added enamel dots from Pink and Main for the flower centers. The sentiment is from Avery Elle. I used a gray for the stamping. I also added thin metallic stickers along the edges of the image panel.

Together Forever

A friend asked me to make a wedding card for her, so I suggested instead that she design it herself. Here is the pretty card she came up with. We started with another of the stamped-frame panels from my parts. (Three left!) Most of this card is die-cut. The "Together" stamp and the "forever" dies are from a Gina K set. The heart and the "Together" are popped up on foam squares. The blue is metallic cardstock and the gray heart is actually glitter cardstock. The "forever" is cut from silver metallic cardstock.

Anniversary

Using up one of my stamped frame panels. I decided to use the circles die on this one. The flower - stamp, stencil and die - is from Gina K. The sentiment is from Gina K, too.

Die-Cut Flower Birthday

I had five of these flowers made up, so I made five cards like this one and used them up. The flower dies are from Altenew. I stenciled the middle section using a Gina K stencil and added thin black strips on each side, then matted the entire panel with black. The sentiment is also from Gina K.

Foxy Thinking of You

I think I'll work on my smaller card parts for a while now. This completed die-cut fox has been in my parts for over a year now. I had also recently come across the die that cuts out the dots in circles and I wanted to use it again. Actually, I started with the die on ivory cardstock and then chose the cute little fox to put in the center. He's popped up, of course. I matted with black. I tried several colors behind it and decided that black was best after all - probably mostly because of the little bits of black on the fox. The fox is from Gina K and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

HELLO friend

And ... the last card panel-sized piece from my card parts!! I have small pieces to use, and also a few stamped frames that I'm actually saving. :-) The die-cut pieces are from Gina K, as is the sentiment. The flowers are popped up. I ink-blended the flower matting piece before adhering the black die-cut piece.

Hummingbird Thinking of You

Another embossed panel from my card parts - two more to go! I die-cut the colorful hummingbird and popped him up. The die-cut sentiment is also popped up. The background was done with a Sizzix embossing folder.

Die-Cut Heart Anniversary

Another embossed panel from my card parts used up. I die-cut the intricate heart and placed it in the embossed rectangle frame and added the sentiment - from Hero Arts. I also matted the panel.

Masculine Birthday

I die-cut the square panel with an Altenew die when I had friends over, so I had to use it. I found a piece of patterned paper that I thought it would work with nicely, and then I looked through my dies and found this one. I cut it twice out of black and glued them together and added them to the die-cut panel. The stamped sentiment is from Gina K.

More Simple Embossing Folder Cards

I had these two embossed pieces in my parts, but now they are cards. For this first one, which I actually like better, I simply took a brayer and lightly brayered ink over the embossed image panel. The sentiment was in my parts, also, and I popped it up.

This one is almost identical to yesterday's card. Different folder and different colors, but the same idea. Added color to the debossed side and then brayered over the flat part. This sentiment is adhered directly to the image panel.

Debossed Beauty

I had a couple friends over the other day and was showing them all (yeah, right!!!) of my stamping tools and supplies. So, of course I ended up with several card parts. One of them was this embossed panel made with a 3D folder from Altenew. I lightly added color to the debossed side and then used a brayer to add color over the top. I think it looks kind of antique-y. The sentiment was from my parts. (Thanks, Cheryl!) This card is actually going to another Cheryl. :-)

March Calendar Page

And now it's March somehow! And here is my calendar page for the month. The stamp is an old wooden one from Canadian Maple Collections. I colored it with Copics. The patterned paper is from Recollections from many, many years ago.
