Color Swap - Dark Green and Rose

The colors for our monthly color swap for this month are dark green and rose. I decided to "virtually" participate in the swap. I used a dark green card base and cut the rose-colored layer with a die. I stamped the rose (from Inkadinkado) on white and colored with Copics. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. After stamping and coloring, I embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.

Happy 50th Anniversary, Kris and Ron!

Another member of our little stamping group is celebrating her 50th anniversary. Pretty awesome, I think! Congrats, Kris!

I decided to make a stair-step card for them. The image is from Inkadinkado. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I embossed the image with detail gold embossing powder. The gold cardstock is shimmery. I embossed the front with a Darice embossing folder. The numbers were cut with some old Cuttlebug dies.

Sunflower Birthday

A very simple card, but at least it's a card and I had a little fun! The flower stamp is from Inkadinkado. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I matted with brown cardstock and mounted on foam squares. I added green to the stem with a marker, and also Wink of Stella on the petals. I used sparkly Nuvo drops on each end of the sentiment.

Kaleidacolor Flowers

Wow, I had some time in my stamping room! There ARE advantages of waking up at 3:00 a.m.:)

For both of these cards, I used a stamp from Inkadinkado and sentiment stamps from Papertrey Ink. I also used two Kaleidacolor ink pads. On this first one, I also used an unbranded die to cut the frame.
For this second one, I added a frame drawn with a marker one-half inch from the edge.

Watercolor Class Card - Finished

Because I have nothing else to share, and no time to spend in my stamping room, I will post this card:) You've already seen the main part, but I've added the hand-written sentiments. This will go to our granddaughter, Amelia, on her next birthday in March - if I can remember by then! I do wish I hadn't done the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" slanted. I would have preferred it more straight up and down. Oh well!

We went camping for a couple days - left Sunday and came back yesterday. We had a camper cabin at Glacial Lakes State Park. It was totally awesome! We got in lots of relaxing and also lots of hiking. More fun stuff coming up - our daughter and her family from Chicago will be arriving on Friday night and will stay until Tuesday.

Canning Jar Birthday Wishes

I have had very little time in my stamping room, and will have almost no time for the whole month of August. I'm a little sad, but have lots of fun things planned! At any rate, here is a card. I'm sharing it becuase I have nothing else to share! I bought this Recollections stamp and die set in early June and this is the first time I've used it. The jar and the jar topper are stamps and dies from the set, which includes other stamps as well. The sentiment is a miscellaneous stamp I've had for a very long time and I have no idea who made it. The hearts were cut with a die and the bottom was embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. I colored a shadow under the jar and popped the jar up on foam squares. Have a great August, my friends! I'll be here when I can.
