Best Borders #2

Well, I did end up making another card using the Stampin' Up! set called "Best Borders." I don't think I'll be using the other two stamps. I'm just too lazy of a stamper to color all the tiny images! No problem coloring the snowmen, though:) I used Copic markers and added Wink of Stella to all of the snow - the snowmen and the ground. I embossed the top and bottom of the snowman panel with Cuttlebug border folders, scored a couple lines with my Scor-Pal, and mounted the panel on Dimensionals. The patterned paper (full of tiny snowballs! :-) ) is from a Recollections matstack. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

I forgot to mention that this card is 4 x 7 inches.

Best Borders #1

Another Stampin' Up! set. There are four large border stamps in this set. Here is one of them - birdhouses. I know that I have for sure used the snowman stamp. The third and fourth borders are garden items and teapots.

This finished card is four inches by seven inches. I colored with Copic markers. I scored decorative lines with my Scor-Pal. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I may or may not use the other three stamps - TBD:)

Edited to add: The set I used for this card is called "Best Borders" by Stampin' Up! Here is a link (as of April 28, 2019) to the set. Judy - please contact me. I would be happy to stamp some off for you. Sorry - I don't have a way to contact you.

Botanicals #1

This is from another Stampin' Up! set. The end is actually in sight! :) The set is called "Botanicals." Even though I like several of the stamps, I just couldn't bring myself to make cards with them. The stamps I used for this card are the script and the leaf. I matted with cardstock to match the leaf. The patterned paper is from a Recollections seasons matstack. The card front ends with the patterned paper - the leaf overlaps the inside of the card.

Special Blessings - #1 and #2

One more Stampin' Up! set done. This set is called "Special Blessings." It consists of the cross, the dove, and six sentiments. I have used three of the sentiment stamps on these two cards. The other sentiments are: "on your First Communion," "on your Special day," and "on your wedding day." For both cards, I stamped the image, cut it out and mounted on foam squares. Then I matted with matching cardstock and stamped the second part of the sentiment on the inside of the card.

More Butterflies

OK, here are the left-over butterflies from yesterday's card. The very bottom layer is patterned paper, including the design on the bottom. I embossed the ivory layer with a Darice embossing folder called "Wire Fence." The butterflies are inset into the ivory.

One more card using the butterflies. The light layers are ivory. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Black and Bright Color Swap

I visited with a friend, a neighbor and a fellow stamper last week, and she showed me the cards she had made at a retreat. Lots of cool ideas! I made this card based on one of hers. The butterflies and the sentiment were cut with dies.  I chose my colors because of the color swap in my stamping group. The colors this month are black and a bright color. I cut the pink using the die, too, so of course you'll be seeing a card with pink butterflies real soon:)

Simple Shapes

The Stampin' Up! set I used for this card is called "Simple Shapes." I only used two of the stamps, though, and I'm calling it good enough! The sentiment is from the set, and all the blocks are done with another. It's hard to see in the picture, but the blocks have different textures and intensities. I matted with matching blue. I managed to get blue speckles on the panel when I was cleaning the stamp, and I loved them! That's why I made the panel go across the entire card:)

Watercolor Garden - #1 and #2

Making a little more progress on my Stampin' Up! project. Both of these cards are made with the SU! set called "Watercolor Garden." The stamps from the set for this first card are the flower, the bee, the stem, and the leaves. I added Star Dust Stickles to the bees' wings. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. It is mounted on foam squares.
All of the stamps on this card are from the set - the sentiment, the flower, the flower center, the stem, and the leaves. I added Wink of Stella to the flower and the center. I embossed the green panel with a Cuttlebug Anna Griffin folder.

Winter Wonderland - #1 - #4

Another Stampin' Up! set completed, and four more Christmas cards done. That makes 32 so far:)

This set is called "Winter Wonderland." It consists of these four image stamps, plus two very small ones that I didn't use. I used silver embossing powder for all of the images and the sentiment, which is from Papertrey Ink. I matted with shimmery silver paper.

Thoroughly Thankful

After my long streak of daily blog posts, I've had a dry spell in my stamping room. I finally got back in there yesterday. I had a friend over, and it was such a nice time. Lots of stuff going on in our lives, but I think we're done with craziness for a while:)

I grabbed another stack of Stampin' Up! stamps to continue on my "using them all" project. Seems like I already used this set, but I'm not sure. I do know, however, that I have used most of the stamps in this set, so I'm going to use the ones I'm not sure of. The set is called "Thoroughly Thankful." I simply stamped the stamp, colored with Copics, matted and mounted on foam squares. I stamped the sentiment on the inside. I also added some sparkle to the images with my Wink of Stella pen.

Left-Over Squares Cards

You knew these were coming, didn't you? :) I have used the squares left-over from these cards to make today's cards. They are all very much the same, so not much description. The die I used to cut these squares is from Papertrey Ink. The stamp is from a really old dollar stamp set. The stickers are all from the same set.
These are Martha Stewart flowers. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is embossed in white.
More stickers and a Papertrey stamps.
These stickers are all from the same set, too.

Pocket Fun - #1 - #3

Well, I have now used (almost) all of the stamps from the Stampin' Up! set called "Pocket Fun." The stamp I didn't use says, "a little something just for you."

For this first card, I used the pocket stamp and the frog stamp from the set. I also used an SU! background stamp called "Just Jeans." I cut the pocket and the frog out, and I mounted the frog's belly on a foam square and added googlie eyes. The sentiment is from a Technique Tuesday set. I covered the entire card front with blue gingham paper.
I made the pocket on this one just the same as the first card. The flowers and leaves are from the set, as is the sentiment. I popped the flowers up on foam squares. The sentiment was cut with a stitched rectangle die. The background was embossed with a Darice Wire Fence embossing folder.
Again, the pocket is the same, but this time I stamped the sentiment on it. The girls stamp is also from the set. I used a stitched circle die to cut the top of the panel. I used the same blue gingham paper and added some orange rick-rack.

Quick & Cute #1 - #4

I actually used another Stampin' Up! set. I am on a quest to use all of my sets. I was SO good to begin with and used all the stamps from all of the sets. As I've gone along, though, I started skipping some stamps, and, at this point, I'm even skipping whole sets! Oh well. At least I'll get to the end of my sets sooner this way. :)

The set I used for all of today's cards is called "Quick & Cute." It consists of the four images and four sentiments. All four cards are pretty much the same. I used a Papertrey Ink die to cut the openings. (This left me with even more card parts, though!) I colored all of the images with miscellaneous markers. I added sparkly to several spots on the cards.
For this one, I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the bottom border.
I embossed the border on the bottom with a Cuttlebug border folder, and also added lines with my Scor-Pal. The sentiment is from a Fiskars stamp set.
I mounted the colored panel on this one with foam squares.

White and Gold Sticker Christmas

After making these cards, I was left with more card parts! I just couldn't throw out the squares that were left over:) So, I made these simple cards. The stickers were left on a sheet of Elizabeth Craft mostly Christmas tree stickers. The sentiment on both cards is from My Favorite Things. The squares are mounted on foam squares, and the sentiments were done with gold embossing powder. Another sticker sheet done!

Christmas - With Stickers and Embossing

I had a partial sheet of stickers that I brought out of my sticker drawer to use. Here they are on cards. I used some new cardstock. (I sure didn't need any more paper, but I had a gift card from Michael's (with a lot still left!) and a 60% off coupon, so I HAD to get something!) The cardstock is shimmery and has a white core. I used a Darice embossing folder on this one. I sanded it lightly after embossing. I also added several red gems.
Another sticker and more embossing. This time the folder is from Sizzix. I matted the sticker with some un-embossed matching cardstock.
And one more. This time I used ivory cardstock for the base. I embossed using a Cuttlebug folder.

Flower Stickers

These cards all use stickers from Elizabeth Craft. This first one is my favorite, and I ended up sending it to our granddaughter for her eighth birthday. (Silly Blogger - I can't take off center-justify for this paragraph!) I added two single flower stickers and colored them with Copics and matted with matching pink. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is embossed with white embossing powder and I added a few scored lines using my Scor-Paul. I added the sentiment panel with foam squares.

Another flower sticker for this card. Again, I colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Papertrey. I embossed the bottom half with a Cuttlebug/Anna Griffin folder. I matted the flower and mounted on foam squares.
Another Copic-colored flower sticker:) This one is on ivory cardstock.
And one more sticker. Actually, this card is done with the negative pieces of the third card. I trimmed around the edge and used transfer tape. Again, the sentiment is from Papertrey.

Rub-Ons

I have really been trying to use up a tiny fraction of the "stuff" that I have. A few days ago I took a few items out of my stickers and rub-ons drawer to use. Here are two of the cards that I made. I actually used up the last of two packages - the rub-ons for today's cards, and the stickers for tomorrow's cards.

For both of them, I used a Papertrey Ink die to cut the three-frame window. (That, of course, left me with six squares that I need to use on other cards, as I can't possibly just toss them out!) The sentiments for both cards are from Papertrey. On this first card, the top panel is the same size as the card front, and is mounted on foam squares.

Edited to add: The die I used for these cards can be found here.

For this second card, I matted with yellow and added the rub-ons to the yellow. Nothing is popped up on this one.

Tiny Flowers

Such a delicate little card - one of my favorites. I cut the opening out with a die. Then I had to find something tiny to add in the opening. I used stamps from a Technique Tuesday set for the flowers and the sentiment. I hand-drew the stems. The bow is a die cut that was in my parts. I popped the panel up on foam squares.

Black and Cream Birthday

Another black and cream card:) The large black decorative oval is the card part I used today. I cut an oval out of cream to fit into the black oval. Both the flower stamp and the sentiment are from Inkadinkado. I mounted the entire piece on foam squares.

Hello

The card parts on today's card are the small black circle, the "hello" and the bow. They are all cut with dies. I simply put them together:) I popped up the sentiment with foam squares. I added the parts to a piece of white cardstock (also a scrap, of course!) and matted it with black.

April Calendar Page

Here is my April calendar page for this year. If you are interested in making your own calendars, feel free to use my Excel file, found under my blog title. There are cutting instructions found there, also. I'd love to hear from you if you use the file. If you have problems, please email me using the address under the "About Me" link.

The umbrella was cut and embossed with My Favorite Things dies using slightly patterned pink cardstock and also brown cardstock. The patterned paper was brought to me by our daughter-law from a work trip she took to Japan. I printed the sentiment on my computer. I colored the flowers on it and added a few stamped speckles.
