Two-Layer Die-Cut Butterflies

I found these die-cut, layered butterflies in with my card parts. So pretty! I don't know what company they are from - I've had them cut for a while. I simply added them to a kraft panel and matted with black and added them to a kraft card base. The sentiment was in with my parts, also. I believe it's from Gina K. I had embossed it with black on vellum.

Sanded Embossing

Here are two very similar cards that I have recently made. For both of them, I used textured blue paper, embossing folders and a sanding block. This first one is done with a folder from Cuttlebug. The swirly die-cut, the sentiment die-cut and the flower die-cut were all in my card parts book.

This embossing folder is from LifeStyle Crafts. The sentiment panel is die-cut and was also in with my parts.

Thinking of You - W-Fold Card

A friend of ours just had back surgery this week. Here is the card that I made for her. It's called a W-fold card. The outside is pretty plain, but I actually like it enough to maybe make another card or two like it, without the "stuff" on the inside!

The outside uses a Darice embossing folder. After embossing, I rubbed the raised areas gently with an orange and then with a yellow ink pad. The sentiment is from an old set from Stampin' Up! The stamps on the inside are all from a "Flip Set" from Repeat Impressions. They are made for use with a "flip card" but I thought they worked great for this style card, too.

Since I used Repeat Impressions stamps, I thought I would link up to their "Anything Goes" challenge. You can find that challenge here. The card base and other panels are ivory cardstock.

Color Swap Card - Kraft and Another Color

Here is the card that I ended up using for our group's color swap. The colors are kraft and another color. My "other color" is white. I embossed the owls with a Darice folder and sponged white ink over the raised areas. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. It's stamped with Versamark and embossed with white powder, and then popped up on foam squares.

Happy Halloween

Here are a couple Halloween cards that I made. I happened across this Darice folder that I'm pretty sure I have never used. For this first card, I embossed it on white textured cardstock and rubbed black ink over it. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions and is mounted on foam squares.
For the second card, i used the same folder, but used textured black cardstock and used a sanding block on it. Same sentiment. These cards are two of a LOT of cards that I'm giving to a friend for the thrift store that she volunteers at. I'm so happy to be able to donate my cards to her!

Inked Embossing Folder

Hey, I'm back with a couple cards! LOL! I haven't had much time at all in my stamping room, but I do have something. I was working on a card for our group's color swap (kraft and another color) and came up with this. But, I made a different card for the swap. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on kraft cardstock and inked it up before embossing with the turquoise ink. After embossing, I rubbed a white ink pad over the raised areas. The sentiment (which you can barely see in the photo) is a circle greeting from Papertrey Ink. The center of the greeting is from the same set and I used white embossing powder for it, cut it out with a scalloped circle Nestability and popped it up on foam squares. I also sponged a little white ink around the edges of the scallops.

Special-Fold Birthday

Someone in my stamping group made a card like this, so I had to try it. It folds up like you'd fold up the top of a box - overlapping the panels. The instructions I had called for making it using two pieces of cardstock, but I thought I would try it with only one. I scored the lines and then cut out the corners and then folded it up. I thought I'd show you what it looks like when it's flat. The flower panels all use Papertrey Ink stamps. The text panel is from Hero Arts. I inked it up with green and then I used purple maker over some of the words. It came out looking black, but that's OK.
I'll have to see when I'll get more time in my stamping room. I've had SO much time in there, but not so much recently. Hopefully I'll get back to it soon. Stay safe and stay well!

Embossed Christmas

Well, it had to come to an end sooner or later:) I have had SO many cards made up and have had blog posts scheduled for up to a month in advance. But, this is my next-to-the-last card that I have to post, and busy times coming up.

I used a Darice embossing folder for the white parts of this card. Each section was embossed separately. The red was embossed with a different Darice folder.

I have finished my 2021 calendars and even have them all packaged up and ready to wrap as gifts and to mail out. I also printed and cut out my 2022 calendars and have started on the April page. It feels great! Hopefully I will get my Christmas cards finished soon, too.

Autumn/Thanksgiving

I thought I would play with this set a little bit. I bought it at the garage sale at the stamping store we were at last summer at our Group Gathering in Ankeny, Iowa. It's from Papertrey Ink. All the stamps I used on these two cards are from the same set. I did a little light coloring with Copics. I used Gina K inks, and I matted them each a little bit differently.

More Birthday Flowers

These flowers are from the same Stampin' Up! set that I used on yesterday's cards. I used Tim Holtz multi-media paper and Zig Clean Color markers for them all. I cut them out with coordinating dies. I mounted these on foam squares. I added strips of patterned paper on each side of the image panel. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
This flower is also mounted on foam squares, and the sentiment is also from Papertrey.
The stem is from the flower set.

Birthday Bouquet

All of these stamps are from the same set from Stampin' Up! There are dies to go with them. The sentiment is from an older Gina K set. One flower is mounted on foam squares.

To Someone Who Makes Others Happy

These stamps are from the same Stampin' Up! set as yesterday. The stamps on this card are a totally different style than those. The flower, stem, leaves and flower center are all separate stamps. The sentiment is from the same set. I did the stamping on speckled off-white paper.

Birthday Flowers

Edited to add: This stamp set is called "Avant-Garden." I have very few Stampin' Up! sets that are not the wood-mounted rubber stamps. I decided to use a couple of my sets that are "newer." I will be sharing these cards over the next few days. The flower, the sentiment and the leaves on the background piece are all from the same set. I added a couple thin black strips behind the image. I colored with Copics.

Sympathy Roses

A couple simple sympathy cards for today's post. I'm pretty sure I bought this stamp set at a stamping store garage sale last summer at our Group Gathering in Ankeny, Iowa. The set is from Paper Crate. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. For this first one, I stamped the image with black ink. I colored with Copics.
I stamped this image with blue ink and then used Copics. I thought I would like this set better than I do, but oh, well.

September Calendar Page

My September calendar page, unbelievably! Pretty amazing how time keeps on marching by.

I used kind of a cool technique on this card. I learned it in an On-Line Card class. I stamped the image on fun foam, and cut out the tree shapes. I used them as stamps with my MISTI to stamp the trees. The image stamp is from Gina K and the sentiment is from Inkadinkado.
