A "Fancy-Fold" Card

I had to try a card like this that a friend showed me last week. I used some Basic Grey double-sided paper, cut into 2.5 inch by 1 inch pieces, folded. I used my Scor-Pal for decoration. The sentiment is another Mrs. Grossman's sticker. I matted with matching cardstock and used an ivory base. I liked the way the flowers matched up at two intersections!

Little Birdie Birthday

A friend brought over this punch (oops, sorry!! This is a die!!) from Stampin' Up! last week, so I used it on a piece of ivory cardstock and then finally made this card from it. I used my Scor-Pal to add a little more interest and dimension. The sentiment is a Mrs. Grossman's sticker which I placed on a thin strip of ivory cardstock and mounted on foam squares. The background is a pretty piece of shimmery, printed cardstock that I got from a friend in Des Moines last year. I matted with gray and used an ivory card base.

Loss of a Pet

One of my brother and sister-in-law's cats died, so I made them this card. The image is a Stampin' Up! stamp that I borrowed from a friend. I colored quite simply with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

More Lasting Impressions Paper

Two more cards that I made with the Lasting Impressions paper that I've had for a long time. I'm getting closer to using it up:) I'm working on another card right now, but then maybe I'll put it away for a little while. All the cardstock that I used for both of these cards is from the matstack.

On this first one, I cut the flower and the leaves out of the cardstock and added them to the dotted piece. I added the stem, and also the black around the edge. The sentiment is a Mrs. Grossman's sticker. That panel is mounted on foam squares. I also added the black along the edges of the purple-striped piece. The card base is approximately 6 1/4 x 3 1/2.

The sentiment on this one is from Hero Arts. The large heart came printed on the paper with the dots. I added the three smaller hearts, cut out from another sheet. I used foam squares for all the hearts.

Masculine and Butterfly Birthday

These two cards are related, so you get them both today:) The old car stamp on this card is from a Tim Holtz set. The plain paper on the bottom and the patterned paper on the top are both from a 7 Gypsies pad I got at Archiver's several years ago. The sentiment is a Mrs. Grossman's sticker placed on the patterned paper. The tiny strip above it is the same paper, also. I added a thin strip of ivory cardstock between the papers.

The butterfly on this second card is the last one I have from Martha Stewart. I think the sentiment is from Stampendous, but I'm not sure. The bottom pattern was stamped using an old Stampin' Up! background stamp. And I used a little bit more ribbon.

Birthday Stickers

My husband came across these stickers in a book that hadn't been used for many, many years. I just couldn't throw them out, so I used them up on these cards. :)

For this first one, I used a scalloped oval Nestability to cut the matting. I mounted on foam squares. The sentiment is, I believe, an old My Sentiments Exactly stamp. The patterned paper is from Gina K, and I also used ribbon.
I matted this one and mounted on foam squares. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
I used the three remaining stickers on this last card. The sentiment is also a sticker - from Mrs. Grossman's.

Butterfly Birthday

Here is a simple card using another of my Martha Stewart butterflies. I took out some Washi tape a couple weeks ago, and had put this piece of glittery tape on the white cardstock. Then I had to figure out how to use it. I decided to emboss the bottom of the panel with a Cuttlebug border embossing folder. Then I realized that this butterfly matched quite well, so, step #2 done. I've had the birthday stickers out, too, so I used one to complete the card. I trimmed the panel down to leave a sixteenth inch border.

Stickered Ribbon

I had cut the bottom edge of this card a few weeks ago when I used the die for another card. I had also cut the strip of striped paper for the bottom. It sat on my table for a while before I figured out what I wanted to do with it. Both patterned papers are from Gina K. I used more ribbon - yahoo for me:) I also had these three "happy birthday" stickers out (from Mrs. Grossman), and decided to just add them to the ribbon. That works for me.

More Tulips

Using the same stamps as I did last week from a Papertrey Ink set, here is another card. The entire background panel is one piece of cardstock - the white decorative line on the left edge is printed on the paper. I embossed the right side with a Darice folder and sanded it down very lightly. I added a piece of ribbon, which makes me feel good. :) I used Nestabilities dies for the ovals and mounted on foam squares. At the very last second, the card went from portrait orientation to landscape - I'm glad I changed my mind.

Monochromatic Daisy and Butterfly

Still using things up - well, attempting to make a dent in them! LOL! I've had this package of puffy, cloth butterflies from Martha Stewart for many years. I think there were maybe six of them, possibly eight, to begin with. Now I think I have only two left. (You'll be seeing another real soon.) I decided to go monochromatic for this one. The background stamp is from Stampin' Up! I used a dot of Liquid Pearls on each flower. I sponged around the edge of the image panel and also the sentiment, and I mounted the sentiment on foam squares.

May Calendar Page

And now it's May. Awesome ... and unbelievable. Here is my calendar page.

Using my MISTI made this page much simpler. The stamps are from from a Papertrey Ink set. The patterned background paper is from an old matstack from Michael's.
