Digital Images

I have a book of digital images that I accumulated many years ago. I decided to check them out. I found these two that I wanted to use. They are from Sweet 'N Sassy. Not even sure if they are around anymore! So, I printed them out, colored them with Copics, cut them and the matting out with Waffle Flower dies and then added the sentiments.

Flutter By Wednesday #241 - A Sketch

My card uses a digital image from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps called Butterfly and Flower. I colored it with Copics and added Star Dust Stickles to the butterfly. I sponged some Soft Sky ink over the image while I still had it in the Nestability. I matted with black, cutting the matting with another Nestability, and mounted on Dimensionals. The border on the horizontal layer was punched with a Fiskars punch. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Gee - Another Pink Flowery Birthday Card!

It's no secret that I love using flowers on my cards. :) So, here's another one.

The flower image is a digital image from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps. It's called Happy Flowers. I colored it with Copic markers, matted with Old Olive cardstock and mounted on foam squares. The patterned paper is from a Recollections pad. The sentiment is from Papertrey's Birthday Basics set.

Flutter By Wednesday - Pixie Dust!

Wow, Wednesdays sure roll around quickly! It's time for a new challenge from the Flutter By Wednesday blog. Danni's challenge for you all this week is "Pixie Dust" - use lots of sparkle on your card, and don't forget your butterfly or fairy. I love sparkle and most often forget to use it. The FBW Design Team was generously given digital images to work with. I chose to use Coneflowers and Butterfly. I printed the image and then cut it out with a Nestability. I sponged the image with Stampin' Up! Soft Sky ink before removing from the die. Then I colored it with Copic markers. I also added just a thin line of brown along the edge with a marker. I added Star Dust Stickles to the flowers and also the butterfly. I mounted the image panel on foam squares. The background piece is glitter paper from a Die Cuts With a View matstack. Sorry about my late post today.  We didn't get home last night until after 12:30 a.m. and I didn't even think about doing this post:(  But, I promised a new card for today, so here it is!


This is a digi image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called Milton's Good Book.  You can find it here. This is the image I chose when I was "In the Spotlight" for Sweet 'n Sassy last month and I finally got a chance to use it.  I colored it with Copics and cut around it.  The matting papers are from Papertrey and I used my Swiss Dots folder on the green.  The background paper is from Die Cuts With a View.  The sentiment is from Verve and was a gift with an order. It's mounted on Dimensionals, as is the image.  The ribbon is from Papertrey, also.


I had a great day yesterday with my friends, although we didn't get started on stamping/scrapbooking until about 1:00!  I arrived at 9:00 and started spreading my stuff out and getting orgainized, etc.  And visiting, of course:)  Then I realized I had forgotten acrylic blocks.  Oops!  So we made a trip to Michael's, which was about 15 minutes away.  Our other friend arrived about 11:15 and she had forgotten the pictures that she was going to scrapbook with, but she had pictures from a recent trip to Alaska, so we went back to Michael's to get her a new album so she could work with her new pictures, instead.  Of course, by that time it was lunch time, so we stopped at Wendy's to eat.  It was after 1:00 by the time we got back.  However, I did get five cards done using my limited supplies and card parts.  It was very fun.  Then another couple and our husbands came later and we had a nice dinner of grilled burgers and brats, etc. and more visiting.  A late, but awesome, day for sure!  I'll be sharing my cards when I can.  Today we have to get ready to celebrate our son's birthday.  His birthday is Tuesday, but they'll come over tomorrow.  Another great time.  I hope everyone has a great Saturday - or whatever day you happen to be reading this!

Double-Embossed Birthday

I made this card for a Yahoo! Cuttlebug group's challenge called Double Embossing - to use two embossing folders.  I actually used three.


I embossed the bottom section, then the middle line of dots with a border folder, then embossed the top section.  Then I added the scored lines between the sections.  The sentiment is from Woodware USA. The other images are from StampingScrapping.com. I used Vintage Violet ink and cardstock, cut the matting out with a Lacy Circle Nestability die, and mounted on Dimensionals.

SplitCoastStampers Sketch Challenge

I made this card for the SplitCoastStampers Sketch Challenge #337. 


For this card I used Harriet's Sweet 'N Sassy stamp set called Wildflowers.  I colored the stamp with markers and then spritzed with water before stamping. I added Flower Soft to the centers. The matting is Stampin' Up! Always Artichoke and the patterned paper is from My Minds Eye. The image panel is mounted on Dimensionals. The sentiment is from PTI and is stamped in Always Artichoke.
