Three more cards using the sentiments from the Stampin' Up! set called "Greetings 4 You." This completes my use of this set.
For this first one, I stamped the background with a large background stamp from Impression Obsession. I used distress ink for it. The white panel was scored with my Scor-Pal. The snowflakes were cut with a Darice die. I embossed the sentiment with detail silver embossing powder.
For this one, I simply added the snowflakes die cut, stamped the image with silver embossing powder, and scored the lines.
For this third one, I used the same background stamp as on the first card. This time, however, I brayered distress ink over a piece of white cardstock. Then, I misted the stamp with water and "stamped" the distress-inked paper. I stamped the sentiment in a darker blue ink and scored two lines. I added the silver snowflakes that were left over from a card from a few days ago. I added pearls to the centers of each snowflake. Not my favorite card, for sure! I love the background, but the card does nothing for me:)
I'm done with my top shelf of SU! sets! Hurrah! I will move on to the next shelf soon. There were 60 sets on the top shelf; only 48 on the second one.

Tonic border punch system again. This time I used the butterflies and used pink cardstock. I again scored lines with my Scor-Pal. I matted the entire piece with shimmery silver. I embossed the sentiment (from Papertrey Ink) with silver embossing powder.

Another card using my Tonic border punch system - this time using the flowers. I punched them from vellum and scored the lines. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and is embossed with white embossing powder.
For my "Anonymous" commenter yesterday (thank you!): I have had the Tonic system for several years. They were all gifts from a friend. (I have five punches.) I did find a few of them on Amazon here. I have never ordered from this next place (nor have I even heard of them) but here is another place that sells them.

Taking a short break from using my Stampin' Up! sets. Our stamping group was discussing our Tonic punch systems and I decided to use mine. I punched a few borders with it, and you'll be seeing the cards I made with them in the next few days. For today's cards, I used the snowflakes punch. I punched the border from shimmery silver. I added scoring with my Scor-Pal. I embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder.
This card is pretty much identical to the first one, except I made it portrait. The sentiment is from Denami.

Another Christmas card done. Yippee! Again, I'm linking this to the Christmas Card Challenge blog.
The main panel is gray, the matting is red and the base is white. The snowflakes are also gray and are covered with Star Dust Stickles. I punched the snowflake border with a Tonic punch and scored lines on both sides of it. The sentiment is again from katie & co.

I really like Natasha's sketches for her Clean & Simple Stamping blog. I don't do them often enough:) But, yesterday I managed to use the one from this week and combine it with the Christmas Card Challenges blog. I normally post my Christmas cards on Sunday, but then I never can play along with the optional challenge. So, this week you get it on Friday! The challenge this week is to use snowflakes.
I punched the gray strip with a Martha Stewart punch. I scored two double lines in the center. The ribbon is from Martha Stewart, also. The little snowflakes were punched with a Tonic punch and I added Star Dust Stickles to them. The sentiment is an old one from Katie and Co. It's matted with red and mounted on foam squares.

This is the card I made for the wedding that we went to on Saturday. I made the card to match their invitations. I did this for her sister five weeks ago, and she noticed(!) so I thought I'd do that for this couple, also.
The leaves are stamps from Could 9. I inked them up with Crushed Curry ink from Stampin' Up! and then I "thumped" with a Dusty Durango marker. I used a Really Rust marker to draw the lines around the edges. I printed the sentiment on the computer. (I even dared to do it AFTER everything was stamped, and it worked out!) The leaves were punched from Crushed Curry cardstock with a Tonic punch, sponged with Really Rust ink, and mounted on foam squares. The matting is Real Red. The card base and image panel are ivory.

Another Christmas card for today. I received this Tonic punch from my friend, Anne, so of course I had to use it right away!
I started with the punch. It’s a corner punch, but you can take the guides off and punch them as a border. I decided I wanted to mat with green for the holly leaves and then use Stickles for the berries. Of course, I had to score some lines with my Scor-Pal, too. Hmmm … what to use for an image. I thought candles would be nice so I dug out an old Anita’s stamp. I did the coloring with my Stampin’ Up! markers. I actually used two different colors of red – Real Red for the candles and Ruby Red for the bows – but you can’t tell that from the picture. I colored the pine boughs with Certainly Celery and then went over some areas with Old Olive. I used Barbara Trombley’s Art Institute Ultrafine Crystal glitter around the flames. I punched the butterflies with a Tonic punch using Stampin’ Up!’s Tangerine Tango cardstock, then cut them out with a Circle Nestability. I mounted them on white, and then on Stampin’ Up! Pacific Point. The ribbon is from Michael's and the sentiment is from JoAnn's - from The Paper Company.

I have two cards to share with you today – both using the same stamp and the same technique.
I like using bleach, but I don’t do it very often. I was trying to come up with a card for my dad – not really all that easy! I thought using bleach on the oak tree from Stampin’ Up!’s set Lovely as a Tree might be a good idea. Using bleach on colored paper gives so many different results – you never know what color you will end up with! However, the two colors I chose – Close to Cocoa and Gable Green – both turned white. How boring! So, I remembered what happened a long time ago when I overheated the bleach – it sort of scorched. I used my heat gun on the bleached images until they started turning brown. I really like the results.
The first card is the one for my dad. The background paper is from a Die Cuts With a View Summer Matstack. I mounted my image on Close to Cocoa. The sentiment is from Stampendous. I stamped it with Versamark and Chocolate Chip ink an embossed it with clear embossing powder and mounted it on Close to Cocoa. The leaves are punched with a Tonic punch from Green Gable and sponged with Close to Cocoa. The edges of the image are also sponged with Close to Cocoa. The three leaves on the right are mounted with Pop Dot pieces.
For the second card, I matted the image with Creamy Caramel. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink’s Mixed Messages, stamped with Close to Cocoa ink. The lines are scored with my Scor-Pal.

Today’s card was made for another Clean and Simple challenge on SplitCoastStampers – this challenge was to use punches. Now that I’m looking at it – maybe it’s not even considered “Clean and Simple!” Oh well – close enough!
The punch is a Tonic punch used in their Border System. I used Stampin’ Up!’s Apricot Appeal cardstock, punched, trimmed it down and added scored lines with my Scor-Pal. I mounted some black behind the punches, but left the top and bottom with no black. The background paper is from Sizzix. I used an EK Success border punch for the wavy and dotted line at the bottom. The sentiment is from SU!’s set called All Year Cheer I. The flowers are Primas that I received from someone. I added black brads to the flower center and in the lower left. (I love when the paper has a pattern which makes spacing the brads evenly so simple!) The punched-out butterflies were the perfect embellishment for the bottom border.

Another Thank You card for today.
Not too much explanation is needed for this card, for sure! This one also uses the Tonic border flower punch. Today I used it in the system to make the border. I added two sizes of pearls to the flower centers. The background paper is from Sizzix. The darker blue is from a scrap pack, and the light blue is Baja Breeze. The stamp is from Inkadinkado. That’s it!

My friend Anne sent me three new punches for the Tonic Border punch system that she gave me last year. (Thanks, Anne!) I used the flower punch to punch the center of the circle. The circles are cut with Circle Nestabilities. I added mini-pearls to the flower centers. The papers are from Stampin’ Up! – a Level One hostess gift. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.
