Anniversary in Pink

And a couple anniversary cards in pink. I matted the die-cut heart with pink glitter cardstock and mounted it on foam squares. The sentiment is from Avery Elle. I also added a thin strip of the glitter cardstock beneath the patterened paper.

The roses and leaves on this card are done with an Altenew set. The sentiment is embossed with silver and I used a thin strip of silver metallic beneath the patterned paper.

Anniversary in Purple

Two anniversary cards in purple. I used dies on each of them. I used a Gina K embossing folder for each and the sentiment is from Gina K, also. I added some purple ink around the edges of the embossed panel on this first one.
On this second one, I embossed the image panel. The purple is all glitter cardstock.

Grandkids' Valentines

I got out all of my valentines things to make some cards, and then I ended up making one sort of special and four extremely basic and the same! Oh well. The grandkids will be fine with them. I did do a little bit more die-cutting so maybe I'll make some anniversary cards out of those pieces.

This first card is for our one granddaughter. The heart was done with a Spellbinders die, backed with glitter paper. That panel is raised on foam squares. The embossing was done with a Darice folder. I added some sparkly enamel dots. The sentiment is from the same Recollections set as I used on the second card.

This one was done with two embossing folders and a stamp from a Recollections set from several years ago. I added three tiny "nailheads." I made four of these for the grandsons.

Alcohol Inked Background

Another background used up. Unlike the others I've been using, I made this one very recently. The others were made years and years ago by someone else. I used alcohol inks for this one. I saw a card on Gina K's Instagram a couple of days ago that someone had made using about the same colors! (Mine was done about three or four weeks ago.) That card simply had a white-stamped sentiment, so I thought using a white layered die-cut would work, too.

More Wintery Backgrounds

These first two use patterned paper for the backgrounds. I added the snowflake and the sentiment - both popped up on foam squares - from Gina K. The background is matted with dark blue. All of the snowflakes and sentiments are embossed with silver embossing powder.

And this one should have been with yesterday's post. I thought there was another one with that background! I added a silver metallic strip through the middle. Again, the snowflakes and sentiment are from Gina K.

Winter Birthday Wishes

I'm still working on using up backgrounds, etc. I've had this background for almost 15 years! It has silver in it, so I went with silver embellishments. The stamps and dies for the snowflakes and the sentiment are from Gina K. The sentiment has four layers beneath the stamped layer.

Silver Christmas

And two more Christmas cards done! (I made two of these.) The background was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with silver powder. I matted with shiny silver cardstock. The sentiment was die-cut from the same silver cardstock and I added a couple layers of white to it for more dimension.

More Christmas

Three more Christmas cards done. (I made two of the second card.) The image and sentiment are from an old Inkadinkado set. I colored the image and added the gold washi tape. The patterned paper on each edge is leftover from my last cards.

Christmas - in January

Three Christmas cards for 2024. It's a start. The images are all old, wood-mounted Stampin' Up! stamps, stamped with Versamark and embossed with detail gold embossing powder. The sentiment is from Gina K and is also gold embossed. I rubbed Versamark on the edges and used the gold powder on them, too, to separate them from the patterned paper, which is from a Paper Company matstack.

50th Anniversary

It's my cousin's 50th Anniversary in March, and I'm actually ahead of the game! I hadn't made a stair-step card in a few years, so I thought it was about time. I cut ten of them, so you MAY be seeing more in the near future. I used a Gina K embossing folder for the gold foil matting, and a Gina K die for the leaves. I also used another die to cut the little hearts that you can barely see in the photo. The image stamp and sentiment are from a Papertrey set. If you want to see more of my stair-step cards, you can click on the link at the bottom of this post.

Crazy Bird "Guy" Cards

I had a little time to make some cards, and I need four "guy" cards for January and February. I made them all basically the same, just to get them done and get on with making flower cards and Chrismas cards! I used a new-to-me stencil from Gina K. It includes both designs you see on these cards. I had six of these "crazy birds" from Tim Holtz stamped and die-cut and in my card parts. I colored all of them, so now I just have two more to use, but they are now colored. I cut a strip of white cardstock and ink-blended on it to match the stenciled background. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I popped the birds up on foam squares.

I also had some time to work on my calendars. I have January 2025 and February 2026 finished. Yippee! If you are interested in my calendar files, I have linked to the 2024, 2025 and 2026 files. You can find the link under my blog header. In that same tab, there is a link to the cutting instructions and also to a post about how I display my calendars. If you have issues with the files, just email me and I can directly send you the file.

Happy Belated Birthday to Me!

I finally got around to taking a picture of my birthday cards. We had company and then cleaning up, etc. At any rate, nearly a week late, here they are! I have posted the handmade ones first. I do know that I have two more cards coming.

And then, here are the equally-special store-bought ones. I thank you all so much!! I think you can tell how old I just turned. LOL!

Happy New Year! - and January Calendar Page

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Here is my January calendar page. The image is an old, wood-mounted stamp from Delafield Stamp Company, and I colored it with Copic markers. The patterned paper is from an old matstack from Recollections. I used a marker to color the very edges of the image panel. I try to make the pages as thin as possible, as there isn't much room in the frame.

I have uploaded the file for the 2024 calendar and also the 2025 year. If you want to use the file, please feel free! I'd love to hear from you if you do. If you want to use the file and have issues, feel free to email me at LJNeus@hotmail.com. You can find the files under my blog header.
